n ShapeShifers Stage, Guildhall Square H Monday 31st October l 4.30pm .............................................................. The rituals and rhymes of the willow masked Armagh Rhymers go back to a time when the lines between the afterlife and the present life was blurred, when death was ever present and where animals lived in close proximity to the human world. Rhymers through the ages have nurtured the relationship between this world and the otherworld, the place where the unimaginable can happen and where the imagination is king. The Armagh Rhymers perform in the style of the ancient Mummers tradition - a clever combination of local legend, visual arts, Irish traditional music, poetry, and comedy with folk or children’s songs.
