St Patrick’s Day Spring Carnival Parade 2015 The Curious Carnival Assembly Point: Derry City Council Car Park Date: Tuesday 17th March Time: 2.30pm Admission: Free Suitable For: All The gentle and beautiful Boy Explorer, a 15ft high, eight year old boy who is on a quest for brilliant ideas, leads this year’s parade accompanied by dreamers schemers, inventors, poets and imagineers. Together they have befriended and fired the imagination of young and old and invited them to join them on a journey of celebration through the city streets. From the wonders of the circus to marvel inspired exploration of land, sea and skies, this year’s carnival is a veritable kaleidoscope of curiosity, featuring giant creatures, explosions of colour, music and performance. The Curious Carnival is brought to you by carnival artists from Macnas, In Your Space, North West Carnival Initiative, Greater Shantallow Community Arts, Bluebell Arts Project, Borris & Ricardo, Ibuki Taiko, Inishowen Carnival Group and many more together with a host of community, arts and performance groups from throughout the city.

Temple Date: Saturday 14th - Saturday 21st March Following the Lumiere light festival in 2013, producers Artichoke are back with a new project. Working with Burning Man artist David Best, people from across the city will come together to build an ornate wooden structure, Temple. When completed it will tower over Derry~Londonderry and be a space for remembrance and letting go.
