Located on the 13th floor of the Zenith Towers, this high end appartment contains numerous custom made joinery elements. The idea was to create pieces through out the whole appartment that speak to each other through the chosen material palette. The clients every functional needs were met by finding suitable solutions while keeping a clean and modern feel throughout the rooms

The existing building ,dating from the 1930, has undergone several transformations.The clients wish was to adapt the home to their needs but still maintaining the essence of Art Deco. The communal areas on the ground floor feature custom walnut joinery, including a kitchen and a display cabinet. The first floor was designed with a similar approach but with a slightly different material palette to distinguish the communal areas from the bedrooms. room Dining

In order to respond to the competitions program, the design was though-out with a simple but effective layout. The house is divided in 3 distinct modules that are connected by the staircase which acts as a backbone. The projects aim was to maintain the charm and the history of the old cottage by reusing some of its materiality and colour palette.

After a thorough analysis of the area, the physical location of the square was an important feature which defined the concept. The axis starts in the chaos of the city and seems to disappear into a tranquil countryside, which was the square of Tirso de Molina. Using this concept, it developed into highlighting the area with colour and greenery, spreading throughout the public realm.
