Dodge Debuts Plum Crazy

New 2016 Dodge Challenger 392 HEMI Scat Pack Shaker and Charger R/T Scat Pack Models in Plum Crazy Will Be Shown.

Originally debuting in 1970, Plum Crazy hue spans several generations of muscle-car

Plum Crazy will open in September, one month early for sold orders only on 2016 Dodge Challenger or Charger models with production beginning this November.

Regular dealer orders for Plum Crazy are scheduled to open in October and will only be available for order until the end of the year.

Pulled from the archives: for the first time ever, Dodge brand provides its full production numbers of limited-edition and high-impact hues since Charger and Challenger’s return to market in 2006 and 2008, respectively.

Their programs focused on educating youth are creative and produce results. One such project, between the San Diego Zoo and The Tisch Family Zoological Gardens in Jerusalem, Israel now in its fourteenth year is a success

story. At their annual luncheon event held at the TreeTops Room at the San Diego Zoo on August 6th fifteen Youth Exchange participants from Israel were introduced to guests

Mr. Doron is the Director General of the Tisch Family Zoological Gardens in Jerusalem, which is also known as the “The Biblical Zoo.” This was followed by a presentation of Congressional Certificates for each youth volunteer by Congresswoman Susan Davis representing California’s 53rd Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Trump trumps them all in Republican debates

ED/OP Pepe Escobar Nobel Prize winner Joseph Stiglitz has said that the US, on the financial front, is “on the wrong side of history.” As for the Republican candidates chasing the nomination for the 2016 US presidential race, well, they may qualify only for the ‘wrong’ side of the bargain, as they hardly know what ‘history’ means.

And that brings us to a mammoth specimen of entertainment/reality TV; the first Republican debate, no less than a seemingly-eternal 15 months before the actual US presidential election.

It definitely started with a – what else? - celebrity TV bang.

Would anybody raise their hands if they were mulling running as a third-party candidate, and ignore the eventual Republican nominee?

Up goes the lone raised hand of billionaire real estate speculator-cum-reality TV celebrity Donald Trump. And true to form, The Donald pulled a – what else? – Trump; he would keep hedging his bets, while swearing on live television to support the Republican nominee and not be a thirdparty candidate if he was, well, the Republican nominee.

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul’s response to that was exemplary; Trump was “hedging his bets”. After all, he “buys and sells politicians.” And Paul doubled down, hinting that Trump was an actual Trojan Horse who will, in the end, support The Hillarator ‘we came, we saw, he died’ Clinton.

The Hillarator, by the way, took no prisoners, announcing to the whole social media universe that she was not watching the debate; she was hangin’ out in LA with – who else? – a bunch of reality TV ‘royalty’.

But she did commit the mortal sin of attending one of Trump’s weddings, as The Donald himself admitted.

We only care about our $2bn The reality TV spectacular even had a warm-up, like those preliminary bouts on UFC. Cynics might have preferred iron chick Ronda Rousey immobilizing all the Republican contestants in the octagon in less than 30 seconds, but still the arguable winner of the warm-up was Carly Fiorina, former (booted out) CEO of Hewlett-Packard. Cynics, once

again, might have preferred the other Carly (Simon) singing ‘You’re so Vain’, but that’s just nostalgia.

On foreign policy, the warmup highlight was an actual prewarm-up, as South Carolina’s wacko job Lindsay Graham told Japanese media on the anniversary of the bombing of Hiroshima, “If I were President Truman, I would have dropped the bomb.”

Predictably, the main ‘debate’ was an anti-abortion and illegal immigration ‘drop the bomb’ fan fest.

Trump, predictably, trumped them all. His master plan to solve illegal immigration: The Great Trump Wall of Mexico, including “a big beautiful door in that wall so people can get into this wall legally.”

Marco Rubio’s response; “El Chapo built a tunnel under the fence and we need a solution to deal with that too.” Trump didn’t elaborate on how he would deal with the notorious Mexican drug lord’s underground tactics.

As this was a reality TV spectacular generating huge ratings – and not a real ‘debate’ - it was micromanaged to the millimeter by Fox News. Some of the questions unveiled Fox’s real agenda; dress down Trump a notch and give a chance to the other Muppets to say something, anything, mildly respectable.

Fox News’s demographics hover around 68 as the median age; angry, aging, white, exceptionalist American males.

Fox – essentially a Republican PR asset - made $794 million in profits in 2014. The network is worth at least $2 billion a year to parent company 21st Century Fox, part of the Murdoch empire.

Trump made mincemeat of any idea of a level playing field. He was on a roll, including a full 30 seconds to expand on his claim that the Mexican government is sending rapists and murderers to undermine the American dream.

“Our leaders are stupid. Our politicians are stupid. And the Mexican government is much smarter, much sharper, much more cunning, and they send the bad ones over because they don’t wanna pay for them, they don’t wanna take care of them, why should they when the stupid leaders of the United States are doing it for them?” he asked.

So political America – as in the Beltway – is stupid. That much was already known by the whole Global South. Now coming from a billionaire who knows all there is to know about making it big, that certainly adds gravitas.

Gravitas, of course, in a trash TV sense. Even rightwing pundits are now waking up to the fact that The Donald’s act is actually a re-run of comedian Norm MacDonald’s impersonation of Burt Reynolds from the Celebrity Jeopardy sketch.

Which makes total sense, as far as American pop culture is concerned. If even George ‘Dubya’ Bush can become an American president, why not an impersonator from a fake celebrity TV personality?

‘We don’t win anymore!’

According to the social security administration 9 out of 10 Americans 65-years and older receive benefits.

By the year 2033 - the number of people on Social Security will almost double.

Yet Jeb! paled compared to Ted Cruz, who got terribly excited describing an elaborate TehranKremlin conspiracy to unleash a vicious cyber-attack against the Pentagon’s IT network.

Scott Walker jumped in, stressing that, “Russian and Chinese hackers probably know more about Hillary Clinton’s email server than do members of Congress.”

Walker actually should try to get the job of Dr. Strangelove, sorry, Gen. Breedlove/hate at NATO; “I would send weapons to Ukraine, I would work with NATO to get forces on the eastern border of Poland.” And he wants missile defense in Poland and the Czech Republic to boot.

So before the next war, what do to about the economy?

Jeb! has the answer: “You fix a convoluted tax code, you go in and replace every regulation that’s a job killer.”

The Donald – who had four of his companies bankrupt – turned the whole argument around; “Every company virtually in Atlantic City just went bankrupt… I had the good sense [to leave] seven years ago…

“I’ve made a lot of money in Atlantic City and let me tell you I am very proud of that.”

Now that’s your metaphor of America as two-bit casino racket Atlantic City.

In the end, all reality TV contestants played to the concerns of their ‘base’.

American exceptionalism faces three horrible, compound threats even Pentagon think tanks could not come up with; China, IS and a horde of illegal Latino immigrants.

But Ted Cruz will be able to prevent Armageddon. He will “rescind every illegal action taken by Barack Obama.” He will defend “religious liberty.”

He will destroy the Iran nuclear deal. And he will transfer the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv.

Whatever. Because the winner of the show on Google search data was – who else?

–Trump. The Donald laid down the law: “Our country is in serious trouble. We don’t win anymore.

We don’t beat China or Mexico or Japan; those countries make so many cars. We don’t do anything right. Our military has to be strengthened.”

So come January 2017, there’s got to be a war. Ukraine?

Iran? “Syraq”? Russia? China?

Why not all of them at once? “We don’t win anymore!”

I think it’s time to enlist Ronda Rousey.

Ashley Monroe’s old soul captivates country legends

By Kristin M. Hall NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - As a child, Ashley Monroe says she’d often start crying as she was listening to the radio because she was overwhelmed by the emotion coming from country singers like Vince Gill and Dolly Parton.

These days, those roles are reversed, as those very same stars are just as enthralled with her singing and songwriting. Gill, who co-produced Monroe’s latest album, “The Blade,” met her when she was just 15 years old.

“I said, ‘How does a kid this young have that depth to write songs?’” said Gill. “It was like she was born to write novels. It was captivating from note one, from the first songs I heard.”

Even Parton, to whom Monroe often gets compared, wrote her a letter in 2004 to say that the two of them had a lot in common. After all, they are both blond singer-songwriters from East Tennessee who grew up on gospel and mountain music. “(Parton) had gotten a hold of some of my demos,” Monroe said. “It was even before I had a record deal. She was saying, ‘You remind me a lot of myself in the way that you phrase everything.’”

She also got support from exes Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert. Just days after they announced their divorce, the two were playfully tweeting at each other about Monroe’s album release.

Monroe said having Gill, arguably one of the finest country singers, help produce her last two albums has pushed her to live up to all those expectations from big stars.

“When I sing in front of him, he’s such an amazing singer that it’s a lot of pressure for me to sing in front of him,” Monroe said. “But I think that’s healthy pressure, because I think that makes sure

Prince to release new album, HITNRUN

By Desert Star Staff NEW YORK, -- Multiplatinum music icon Prince, and global music and entertainment platform TIDAL, today confirmed that the next release from the entertainer will be exclusively on TIDAL on September 7, 2015.

The upcoming release, the experimental, HITNRUN, was first announced by his band, 3RDEYEGIRL, on BBC radio late last month, following the release of the critically praised first single, “HARDROCKLOVER”. Minutes after the song was released on July 1st, critics raved with The Guardian saying, “Prince is back to his old sensual self ‘ripping jeans’ and ‘making women scream’ on this minimal slow jam.” Billboard called the single “A dreamy rock song”, and Rolling Stone described it as simply “Wild”.

FILM Coming to DVD: ‘Walt Disney Short Films Collection’

On August 18, Disney will be releasing the “Walt Disney Short Film Collection,” a compilation of 12 Disney short features suitable for all ages. Anyone from 2 to 92 will enjoy this eclectic variety of animated stories filled with humor, romance and heart. This extraordinary collection features award wining and beloved short films like “Frozen Fever,” with Anna, Elsa. Olaf. Sven and

Kristoff from the Disney smash hit “Frozen,” the poignant “The Little Match Girl” and Oscar winners “Paperman” (2012) and “Feast” (2014). How to hook Up Your Home Theater” had my friend Jo Ann laughing out loud as Goofy attempts to assemble a super sophisticated home TV unit with all types of surround sound equipment. If you are technically clueless like the two of us are,

you will appreciate the humor as Goofy nearly destroys his house in the process of installing a supper fabulous home theater by himself.

“Paperman” is a sweet little love story featuring a young man and woman who meet briefly at a train station. Just as they are about to make a connection she gets on her train and disappears. How he tries to find her is romantic and involves lots and lots of paper and paper airplanes. Will they find each other again? Well see this little charmer and find out.

“Tick Tock Tales” takes place in—you guessed it—a clock store that also does repairs.

One little clock has been put on sale and is looked down on by the more sophisticated, elegant clock in the store. But one night when a burglar breaks in this under appreciated little clock saves the day.

My personal favorite is “The Little Match Girl: beautifully told without words. In this, haunting fairytale a little girl is trying to sell her matches on a very, very cold evening just before Christmas As the street empties, she goes next to a building and tries to stay warm by lighting her matches.

In the brief warm glow, she sees images from her past when her beloved grandma was there to care for her. The story unfolds wordlessly as classical music

plays in the background.

“The Ballad of Nessie” is about a little dragon who has to leave her beloved lake. When she can’t find a wonderful watery area, she starts to cry and cry and cry, and eventually a new lake is formed—Loch Ness, Ness, where she swims happily to this day.

“Feast” won an Oscar and the adorable little puppy who loves to eat will win your heart in this tale about a dog, his master and what happens next. The story is actually yummy.

“Tangled Ever After” is based on the story of Rapunzel.

In this story we get to go to her wedding, but all sorts of things happen. If you saw the film “Tangled” you will be happy to see that she gets married despite lots of strange things that happen before the loving couple says, “I do!” The star in this humorous adventure is not the couple, but the groom’s faithful horse.

This delightful collection has plenty of extras, including introductions and interviews with the Disney animators themselves.
