Depending on how much time you have, you can squeeze in 2-4 rounds getting in a good strengthening and cardio workout. In this way, you can prevent injuries, improve aspects such as balance, flexibility or coordination, strengthen your muscles and relax your mind. Let’s go there!
Jump
Depending on how much time you have, you can squeeze in 2-4 rounds getting in a good strengthening and cardio workout.
Although you may have last jumped during your school years, this exercise is beneficial for blood circulation, helps you lose weight, and strengthens your legs. Start with 10 repetitions and work your way up from there as you get stronger. Place your feet parallel, about hip distance apart. Flex your knees and push yourself up with your arms raised.
Squat
Create a routine of doing each exercise 10, 15, or 20 times.
18
This exercise focuses on the muscles of the lower body: quadriceps, glutes and hamstrings. To properly squat, place feet shoulder-width apart, point toes forward, keep your back straight and flex your legs so that the muscles form a 90 degree angle to the ground. Move from the angle to standing up beginning with 10 repetitions. AUGUST 2020 - WWW.DESHVIDESH.COM
Push-ups One of the most popular exercises, push ups can improve your mobility, tone your muscles and activate your strength and endurance. Practice good form by placing your hands on the floor directly under your shoulders. Legs should stretch out completely back to form a straight line with your back. Extend your arms, bend your elbows and lower your body until it is about two inches off the ground. Build on as you grow stronger by holding the plank position and adding repetitions.
Lunges
Abdominals
Lunges have the great advantage of allowing you to work both legs differently, likely offsetting the imbalances of strength and muscle mass. To do this, place your feet together and step forward, bending both legs until the back knee is about to touch the ground and both knees are bent at 90 degrees. Do not forget to change legs with each repetition made. Make it challenging by hopping to make the transition from one leg to the other.
Strong abdominals work to keep your entire body strong. A strong core helps you avoid wear and tear on your spine, strengthen belly muscles, improve body posture, and relieve tension in the back. To do this properly, bring your lower back into contact with the ground, bend your knees, and place your hands behind your ears. Drive your shoulders upwards, about seven centimeters, lower and repeat the movement timing and increasing your resistance as you grow stronger.

The act of meditation can be practiced by anyone, anywhere through easy relaxation techniques. This ancient tradition should be considered part of any healthy, mindful lifestyle.
Spirit Meditation helps the mind enter and embrace a feeling of relaxation and serenity. In the practice, the body, mind and spirit are in harmony with all attention and energy focused on yourself, regardless of any stimuli from the outside world. As you meditate, you can enter your own personal, calm world, so to speak, and use the practice to help you explore your inner world that is as vast and complex as the outer world.
At the mental stage, alpha waves, correlated with relaxation and imagination, are reported in the brain in an aware and alert state, unlike beta waves, which are those that are usually registered.

sensations - both physical and emotional - that establish a much stronger relation with the inner self, thereby obtaining better emotional maturity, harmony in personality and a good knowledge of the goals and motives that drive us daily.
Body and mind Though the state is one of total relaxation during meditation, there are several processes that continue to operate. At the mental stage, alpha waves, correlated with relaxation and imagination, are reported in the brain in an aware and alert state, unlike beta waves, which are those that are usually registered. This first creates a reduction in tension, often associated with everyday concerns, and at the same time, after meditation, it provides the possibility of addressing these problems with a new, more serene and concentrated viewpoint.
On a physical basis, there is a reduction in heart rate, sluggish and slowed breathing, and a relaxed state in the muscles and the body in general, which produces gains in metabolism and physical activity functioning. The improvements that come from meditation in brain function will often enable you to approach thought or problem-
solving mechanisms that need to be addressed from a new imaginative position. By entering various states of awareness, you have an opportunity to embrace changes in positive behavior or reduce potential for tension, frustration, or distress through daily meditation practice.

Ghee
G
hee, clarified butter, is a good substitute for cooking oil and is frequently used in Indian and Middle Eastern recipes. Many people favor cooking with ghee over butter because it does not burn as easily and adds great aroma, flavor, and taste to the food. According to Ayurveda, a small amount of ghee is the best cooking oil.
The Indian Materia Medica, a widely appreciated sourcebook for Ayurvedic remedies, recommends ghee, occasionally mixed with honey, as an application for wounds, inflammation, and blisters.
Conventionally, ghee is made from buffalo or cow’s milk. Firstly, the milk is curdled. The curd is then churned at a high speed, which leaves behind the butter. The butter is then simmered over a low flame until a layer of white foam covers the surface. Thus, the water evaporates and what is left is ghee in the purest form.
These days, many people have cut down on using ghee and are instead including refined oils in their cooking to reduce calories and fat in their diets. Refined oils are obtained after treating natural oils with different chemicals. One chemical, nickel, is used in the refinement process and can have adverse effects on the liver, skin, and respiratory system. Ghee, on the other hand, enhances taste and provides strength, vigor, and vitality to the body. Ghee is an unprocessed fat that contains Omega-3 fatty acid and Vitamin A. 30

rganic foods have changed from being deemed a gourmet commodity, pricey and limited to specialty markets, to being popular, and even essential for some, at grocery stores worldwide. With a wide range of availability at reasonable prices, many are now embracing a natural lifestyle. But what exactly is organic food? These are 100 percent natural foods that are produced without using chemicals at all stages: from growth (of vegetables and animals) and development all the way through to delivery. The use of organic methods are completely respectful of and in sync with the natural environment. For people who consume or use organic products, there are many health benefits. So, why should you consider adding organic items to your daily diet and lifestyle?

Organic foods and natural skincare products are a better way to ensure you are eating foods closer to the natural state and using less prcessed items on your skin.
Organic Benefits When eating organic, items will be more season-bound, meaning you eat foods in the season they naturally grow. Foods that normally grow in a certain season do not require additional additives to thrive. These foods are also higher in nutrients. Farming according to season also contributes to sustainable practices and use of land that is environmentally sound.
The use of organic methods are completely respectful of and in sync with the natural environment. For people who consume or use organic products, there are many health benefits. Improved Health Organic foods and products do not use additives, dyes, or toxins, artificial fertilizers, or pesticides. While the latter help stop diseases and pests, the chemicals can leave harmful toxins and reside behind that are harmful to your health. In fact, experts have linked pesticides to the cause of ailments such as headaches, heart problems, asthma, allergic reactions, osteoarthritis, and even cancer.
Must Use Organic Products Items termed the “Dirty Dozen by the EWG (Environmental Working Group) should be purchased organic due to high likelihood of pesticides. These items include: strawberries, grapes, apples, peaches, pears, cherries, potatoes, tomatoes, celery, hot peppers, kale, nectarines, and spinach. 36
AUGUST 2020 - WWW.DESHVIDESH.COM
Foods where the skin is not consumed or are grown without the use of little to no pesticides can be purchased non-organic. These include: avocados, pineapples, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, and kiwi.

Using organic and natural skincare products is also encouraged as unwanted chemicals can enter the body through the skin. Being mindful of the ingredients in cleansers, lotions, and sunscreen is one way to ensure the purest products are being used. Embracing organic foods and products not only shifts your eating habits and your physical and inner health, but also helps you make a contribution to protecting the environment. A socially conscientious relationship between the social and natural world can demonstrate a commitment to a safer and environmentally sustainable future.
Rapid Fire Changes Come to the World of Immigration By Rishi P. Oza, Esq.
A
s if 2020 has not been chaotic enough with the COVID-19 pandemic, racial strife and an oncoming presidential election, the immigration world has been on fire for the past month with policy changes issued from the United States Department of Homeland Security and the United States Supreme Court issuing landmark decisions on cases of importance to hundreds of thousands of individuals in the United States. Unpacking these developments and understanding the longterm implications has been a challenge to say the least.
memorandum blindsiding students nationwide in stating that F-1s currently in the United States that are enrolled in school programs operating entirely online are not considered to be taking a full course load and are thus considered to be in violation of their F-1 status.
The announcement, issued on July 6th and just weeks before school is scheduled to open, has left students and administrators alike scrambling on how to accommodate the thousands of F-1s in the United States in the midst of a pandemic that requires all individuals to socially distance themselves from one another. DHS states that students currently in the United States and enrolled in online-only programs “must depart the country or take other measures, such as

transferring to a school with inperson instruction to remain in lawful status. If not, they may face immigration consequences including, but not limited to, the initiation of removal proceedings.” On July 14, 2020, the Department undertook a complete about-face, rescinding the memorandum and again permitting onlineonly class schedules. The change was likely in response to litigation spearheaded by Harvard and MIT asserting that the directive failed to take into consideration the many ripple effects that such a determination has upon various interested parties. The reversal was seen as another selfinflicted embarrassment for the Trump Administration, which had likely underestimated the blowback from students and universities. Although the lawsuit has yet to be formally dismissed, the Administration is unlikely to try to seek to implement any similar policy before the start of the coming Fall term. The arguments set forth by Harvard and MIT in the F-1 context are, ironically, similar to those decided by the United States Supreme Court in upholding the DACA program, which the Trump Administration has unsuccessfully attempted to abolish over the past three years. The high court’s ruling, cheered by immigrant advocates, held that the Trump Administration failed to observe the requirements of the Administrative Procedures Act, which mandates that regulatory and policy changes
These front burner issues also come against the backdrop of ongoing churn in the immigration world, including the tightened restrictions suspending the admission of H-1B, H-2B L-1 and J-1 visa holders through the end of the calendar year. The President’s proclamation, which came into effect on June 24, 2020, is in response to the continued COVID-19 pandemic that has raged across the United States with increasing intensity.

cannot be “arbitrary and capricious” and must be rooted in accountability to the public and take into account the full scope of outcomes when enacting a change. By failing to provide a “reasoned analysis” to the decision to eliminate DACA, the 5-4 majority concluded that the government’s action did not address legitimate concerns that would result from the elimination of the program. As a result, the DACA program will continue to stand until either Congress steps in to determine the fate of the nearly one million “Dreamers” seeking a pathway to US citizenship

or the Administration pursues another legal challenge to the program’s existence. These front burner issues also come against the backdrop of ongoing churn in the immigration world, including the tightened restrictions suspending the admission of H-1B, H-2B L-1 and J-1 visa holders through the end of the calendar year. The President’s
proclamation, which came into effect on June 24, 2020, is in response to the continued COVID-19 pandemic that has raged across the United States with increasing intensity. The proclamation does not impact those individuals already inside the United States holding such classifications or foreign nationals already holding valid visas that are abroad. Exceptions have also been carved out for individuals working in essential job positions, such as healthcare
and national security; however, this action, along with those indicated above, continues the longstanding pattern of the Trump Administration in seeking to curtail the availability of foreign workers. When coupled with the heightened denial rates for work visas more generally, the Trump Administration continues to showcase that a determined Executive Branch can continue to exercise its regulatory muscle even in the face of judicial setbacks.

The Case for India
I
By Will Durant
n 1930, Will Durant, an American writer, historian and philosopher, came to India while he was doing his research for his book The Story of Civilization. But when he saw and read of Britain’s ‘conscious and deliberate bleeding of India’ that he set aside his research to write a passionate denunciation of this ‘greatest crime in all history’ in his book The Case for India. The book provides a perspective on the state of India around 1930 and the prognosis suffered due to an extended atrocity by Moghul and British rule. The book is a must read for all Indians and also for those who care about world- democracy. Once you read the book and you will understand why this book was banned by the british parliament. The Case for India has now provided India and the world an means to know the true Indian history. This type of book should be added in schools and colleges in India. Excerpt from the book The Case for India The British conquest of India was the invasion and destruction of a high civilization by a trading company [the British East India Company] utterly without scruple or principle, careless of art and greedy of gain, over-running with fire and sword a country temporarily disordered and helpless, bribing and murdering, annexing and stealing, and beginning that career of illegal and ‘legal’ plunder which has now [1930] gone on ruthlessly for one hundred and seventy-three years. How to Financially Prepare for a Natural Disaster By Navneet Pahal
While no one can predict exactly when a disaster like a hurricane, wildfire, tornado or flood will hit, the key is planning for one as if it will strike eventually. 54
ith the focus on the COVID-19 pandemic, the coming hurricane and wildfire season is likely not on many Americans’ radars right now. However, with many people in a financially precarious position over the last couple of months, it’s more important than ever to be prepared for a natural disaster. While no one can predict exactly when a disaster like a hurricane, wildfire, tornado or flood will hit, the key is planning for one as if it will strike eventually. Here are steps you can take to prepare for if and when a weather-related event impacts you or your family.
Review your insurance policies Check your insurance policies to determine how you’re covered by insurance, primarily to make sure there aren’t any gaps in disaster coverage. For instance, many homeownership policies include damage related to fire but don’t cover damage due to floods or earthquakes. AUGUST 2020 - WWW.DESHVIDESH.COM

Insurance is one of the most important tools to help you overcome any losses from a natural disaster. If supplemental insurance, such as flood coverage, seems appropriate, explore all your options.
Protect your financial records
If a natural disaster occurs, the documents needed to rebuild your life should either be with you or stored somewhere safely out of harm’s way. Consider keeping items like insurance policies, birth and marriage certificates, passports, wills, trusts and medical information in a waterproof and fireproof safe. In addition, you may want to keep digital copies of these documents on an external hard drive or thumb drive that can be stored safely or be accessible to you through remote cloud storage.
Insurance is one of the most important tools to help you overcome any losses from a natural disaster.

Boost your emergency savings Emergency funds are critical in the event of a natural disaster. For instance, if you need to evacuate your home and live in a hotel for a period of time, those expenses can add up quickly. So, having three to six months’ worth of income set aside in an account you can easily access is important. In extreme situations, a disaster can shut down local ATMs and banks, so you may also want to consider keeping some cash on hand. Any type of natural disaster can take a toll on your financial life in the short and long term. Working with a financial advisor on a financial plan that accounts for these types of events could help ease the burdens you may face when and if the time comes — and it will give you peace of mind in the meantime.

istory was made at Rashtrapati Bhawan on the evening of May 26, 2014, as Narendra Modi took oath as the Prime Minister of India after a historic mandate from the people of India. In Narendra Modi, the people of India see a dynamic, decisive and development-oriented leader who has emerged as a ray of hope for the dreams and aspirations of a billion Indians. His focus on development, eye for detail and efforts to bring a qualitative difference in the lives of the poorest of the poor have made Narendra Modi a

what is not well known is his journey in verse. This article will focus on a lifelong passion not too many people know about, PM Modi’s passion for writing poetry.
PM Modi’s life has been a journey of courage, compassion and constant hard work. At a very young age, he decided to devote his life in service of the people. He displayed his skills as a grass root level worker, organizer and administrator during his 13 year stint as the Chief Minister of his home state Gujarat, where he ushered a paradigm AUGUST 2020 - WWW.DESHVIDESH.COM
PM Modi’s inspiring journey to the Office of Prime Minister began in Vadnagar, a small town in North Gujarat’s Mehsana district. He was born September 17, 1950; three years after India gained its Independence making him the first Prime Minister to be born in an independent India. While the story of PM Modi’s rise from humble beginnings to the highest office is well documented,
For many years, PM Modi has been writing poems, and to the delight of many, a Gujarati selection – Aankh aa dhanya chhe (our eyes are so blessed) – appeared in 2007, when he began his third term as Chief Minister of Gujarat. 59
The Sun has just risen
¥|¢è ¼¢ï „êÚ… ©x¢¢ ãñ J Poem by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi
60
Translated by Sivkumar
Translated by Megha Sood
Rising high in the sky,
Head Held high in the skies
piercing through cloud covers,
Piercing through thick cumulus
determined to spread light,
Infused with a pledge of light
the Sun has just risen,
The Glorious sun has just risen
With absolute resolution,
Walking with adamantine resolve
surpassing difficult conditions,
Overcoming the tumultuous path
to obliterate darkness around us,
Erasing the ashen darkness
the Sun has just risen,
The Glorious sun has just risen
to illuminate flame of hope,
Lighting up flames of faith
to bring light of growth,
Gripping the lamp of progress
to realize dreams that we chose,
Bringing dreams to fruition
the Sun has just risen,
The Glorious sun has just risen
Not for us or them,
Neither inherent nor extrinsic
nor for me or you,
Neither yours nor mine
to glow for one and all,
As humanity’s eternal glow
the Sun has just risen,
The Glorious sun has just risen
Collecting all the fire,
Converging the fiery blaze
Dispersing that as light,
Illuminating the glorious light
to energize itself and others,
Walking ahead and assisting in tandem
the Sun has just risen,
The Glorious sun has just risen
When actions attacked our ways,
As ruination dawns the very nature,
Allies destroyed our today,
Getting crumbled by its protectors To save
to save and build a better tomorrow,
and erect our tomorrows
the Sun has just risen.
The glorious sun has just risen. AUGUST 2020 - WWW.DESHVIDESH.COM

For many years, PM Modi has been writing poems, and to the delight of many, a Gujarati selection – Aankh aa dhanya chhe (our eyes are so blessed) – appeared in 2007. After being elected Prime Minister for a second term, some of PM Modi’s poems are gaining popularity on social media and among BJP workers. Youth, in particular, like his poem “abhi to sooraj uga hai” (the sun has just risen). Navika Kumar, Group Editor at Times Network, and a huge fan of PM Modi recently recited this poem at the Times Now Summit 2020 before inviting PM Modi to the podium. Devotion and dedication, love and longing, strength and vulnerability, all can be found in PM Modi’s poetry.
It is our pleasure to present this famous poem by PM Modi. Though he wrote this poem in Hindi, Desh-Videsh requested two of our poetry contributors to translate it to English. Translating poems from one language to another is very difficult. Since poems show the poet’s mind, voice, vision and thoughts, these can sometimes be lost in translation. For those to understand Hindi, we present both the original Hindi version and two English translations.

Hrithik Roshan Donates Funds to 100 Bollywood dancers
B
ollywood dancers are among the worst affected during the coronavirus pandemic given that numerous film shoots have been shut down. Actor Hrithik Roshan has taken a step forward and decided to deposit money into the accounts of at least 100 of them, all of whom he has performed and worked with in the past. Many of these dancers are daily wage workers and with the entertainment industry having come to a virtual standstill, they are in dire straits. The actor learned about these dancers from celebrity choreographer Bosco, which led to his decision. Another dancer and coordinator for songs in the Hindi film industry Raj Surani shared that this help has come at a very critical time for the dancers, many of whom have retired to their villages. Some are struggling to pay rent, and one family even tested positive for the virus. He said the dancers were elated upon receiving text messages about the money transfer and were extremely grateful to Hrithik for his generosity in this hour of crisis. Many of them thanked and appreciated him through their social media handles. The actor also provided N95 and FFP3 masks for BMC workers and caretakers earlier. He had also been coordinating
with the non-profit Akshaya Patra and helping those in need with food. He was part of the “I for India initiative by several Bollywood celebrities that helped generate donations for those affected.
Rumi Jaffrey Knew of Sushant’s Depression
D
irector Rumi Jaffrey was summoned for questioning to Bandra Police Station on Thursday in relation to actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death more than a month ago. In his statement, he told police that he learned of Rajput’s depression from alleged girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty about six months ago and that Rhea was continuously supporting and taking care of Sushant during this phase in his life. The director said he had held several meetings with Sushant and Rhea with whom he was going to make a film as the lead pair and the shooting was scheduled to begin in May in London. However, things were going a little slow because of the coronavirus lockdown. Jaffrey explained that he did not know the cause behind Sushant’s depression as they never spoke of personal matters during their film narration sessions. He said Sushant was very professional during their film meetings and spoke only about work. Having said that, he also mentioned that in the last few months whenever he spoke with Rajput about the production of the film, he did exhibit clear signs of depression. Hence, he said, he never spoke with him on subjects of nepotism and about those films that were allegedly “snatched” from him. In this connection, police have questioned other big names in Bollywood such as Aditya Chopra, Shekhar Kapur and Sanjay Leela Bhansali among others. A CBI probe has also been invoked by Rhea to understand the actual reason behind such drastic measure by Sushant. AUGUST 2020 - WWW.DESHVIDESH.COM

Kangana’s Luxury Handbags from Dior to Hermes
A
ctress Kangana R a n a u t , known for her high fashion sense and her designerwear for public appearances, also owns an enviable collection of handbags. The actress shot to fame with her work in films like Fashion and later Queen and Panga has a love for luxury handbags that is evident in all her style picks that stretch from timeless classics to chic casuals. So besides her fancy clothes that range from kurtas, maxi-dresses and sarees, the actress likes to flaunt her taste in handbags. The diva most often is seen showcasing her handbags while at the airport, and it is there that one can see an assortment from Hermes Birkin to Dior and Prada. Her favorite is a navy bag from Christian Dior that can be seen in many of her pre-flight clicks. Another versatile bag that Kangana carries very often is a powdery pink Dior that is priced at a jaw dropping $4,900. In a hue of pale pink roses, the bag essentially is an all-purpose one that goes with several outfits including formal ones. Its quilted look with rose-gold clasps and buckles makes it look rather fetching. Although not very spacious, it defines elegance when she pairs it with her sarees. Kangana has also been seen with Hermes Birkin handbags which she owns in not one, but three colors - black, brown and beige! Some of the bags are priced at a whopping $20,000. But, no woman ever said, “I have enough bags,” right? 66

So now we

With so much talent, there should be some fireworks. Gaurav, it will be recalled, rose to fame with his performance in Diya aur Baati Hum. Gaurav endeared himself to viewers with an impressive performance, standing on his
own against performances of other stars on the show. Gaurav also acted with Deepika Singh and Anas Rashid in Diya aur Baati and played a popular part in Zee5’s Poison. He played the role of an ex policeman and conman rolled into one. Manu’s claim is that he played a stellar role in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Manu was up against some top stars and yet he did not allow that to eclipse him and his performance.

New Musical Series Bandish Bandits Releases on Amazon Prime
A
mazon Prime announced a new romantic musical series, Bandish Bandits. The series features a fresh soundtrack composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy and is produced by Amritpal Bindra Singh. Bandish Bandits is directed by Anand Tiwari who directed the flash hit, Love per Square Foot. This series marks the digital debut of trio Shankar Ehsaan Loy and is about the unlikely love connection of two upcoming musical stars from different backgrounds. Radhe (Ritwick Bhowmick of Dhusar) is an Indian classical singer while Tamanna (played by Shreya Chaudhury of Dear Maya) is a pop star. The 10 episode series features a strong cast: Naseruddin Shah, Rajesh Tailang, Atul Kulkarni, Kunal Roy Kapur, and Sheeba Chaddha. Bandish Bandits has been described by Amritpal Singh Bindra as a work of love, and he added that he was glad that Amazon Prime’s popular streaming platform picked it up. Amazon Prime is known for sourcing quality content from all across the globe. While Bandish Bandits is a quintessential Indian traditional series, there are elements of a modern global romance that will appeal to a universal audience.
3 Million Instagram Followers for Kanika Mann
K
anika Mann is a smart cookie. Where others would puff up with pride at having over 3 million followers on Instagram, Kanika shrewdly focuses on the “no likes” and comments section to find gaps and possibly address them. This shows that she has her head screwed on right. As a bubbly avatar Kanika in Guddan Tumse Na Ho Payega is winning hearts and charming her way up the ladder. She has a long way to go and no doubt we will be seeing and hearing more about her in the days to come. After she crossed the 3 million follower mark, she posted a picture of herself and thanked her fans. This is a huge leap up from the figure of 350 some time ago. She used to keep track of likes and no likes and comments and still does. The 3 million mark, evidently, is a coveted figure since celebrities such as Aditi Sharma, Dalljiet Kaur, Ashnoor Kaur and Neha Kakkar took time off to congratulate her on achieving this milestone. Once the coronavirus scare died down a bit and shooting resumed, Kanika says that “hum atmanirbhar actor ban gaye hai.” Shooting from home has made her realize how challenging it is. She is now used to doing a lot of things at home, in addition to shooting and keeping track of what is happening on Instagram. And to think that at one time Kanika’s father did not want her to take to acting. Thankfully she did and we are glad.
Director Anand Tiwari describes the series as a meeting of two different people from very different backgrounds and their cultural juxtaposition. Each character’s story has been explored in depth giving the audience a warm connect to them. The coming together of these two different worlds in a cloud of romance and music is what will make this series special. Besides, there is the excitement of hearing Shankar Ehsan Loy’s music. Farah Khan Fills in for Rohit Shetty in Colors Show
Shaily Priya Pandey to be seen in Jag Janani Maa Vaishno Devi
M
any viewers thank Colors for bringing them the thrilling Khatron Ke Khiladi show. With the COVID-19 interval now drawing to a close, Khatron Ke Khiladi will be made in India. It will be pure, shuddh 100% desi, made in Mumbai with Bollywood pickle flavor. Champions from earlier parts of the series will fight it out to win the prize. Karann Wahi, Harsh Limbachiya, Karan Patel, Rithvik Dhanjani, Jasmin Bhasin, Jay Bhanushali and Nia Sharma are among the contestants. Farah Khan will host the two episodes, filling in for Rohit Shetty, who is away shooting his blockbuster in Hyderabad. Hopefully, Rohit will return soon, but until then, Farah will bring her own approach to the episodes. Regardless, actors have a whale of a time engaging in stunts to survive the game. Episode 10, for instance, featured Karan Patel and Karishma Tanna tied to a plank rotating inside a dirty water tank. Their task is to take out chickens and collect them in a box. It is zany considering why chickens should go into the tank and, if they did, why Karan and Karishma should do a fowl rescue act while tied to a plank. As Bertie Wooster would say, “The mind boggles, Jeeves!”

haily Priya Pandey is back with a bang. After a memorable performance as Nidhi in Aap ke Aa Jaane Se, Shaily Priya Pandey has now been engaged to join Jag Janani Maa Vaishno Devi—Kahani Mata Rani ki. She will play the lead role as Bharti in the show. The story is about Bharti and the troubles she undergoes. Thankfully, Maa Vaishno Devi rallies around to her help each and every time, or at least that is what the show is about or what we can guess at this point since the producers are still maintaining a discreet silence. Shaily is not talking. Maybe they are still working on the storyline and script. The film on Jai Santoshi Maa kicked off the trend and Matajis have always been popular on the small and large screen, in one avatar or another. No doubt, once the show airs, Shaily will have a halo around her head and become an icon for millions of Indian girls and women who repose all their trust in their favorite Mataji. The other leads in the show are Naveen Pandit and Geeta Tyagi. Khushwant Walia will also play a role. AUGUST 2020 - WWW.DESHVIDESH.COM
