Mountain Architecture
Supervisor: Dr. Jharna Joshi, Ar. Shirish Bhatt
The initial phase of this project involves an in-depth study of the vernacular architecture in Ramkot village, which is home to the native Magar community. This phase focused on gathering extensive knowledge about the locally available materials, construction techniques, and building typologies through fieldwork in the region.
The site chosen on contoured land near the main settlement for easy access to the main road. This location ensures convenient access for both the community and veterinary services.
The proposal
The architectural design of the veterinary center addresses two major challenges innovatively: the lack of facilities for treating domestic animals and the need for better awareness regarding animal management.
By incorporating a comprehensive treatment area, the center ensures effective care for animals. Additionally, it promotes proper management of animal sheds and the utilization of animal waste for feed, enhancing overall animal husbandry practices.

The Drawing Board Design Competition| 2023
The designated site lies on the bank of Agastya Lake, with the existing museum facing the lake and backed by majestic golden red sandstone mountains. The project involves redesigning the Badami Archaeological Museum.
Considering Badami’s community of skilled craftspeople, including traditional Ilkal saree weavers, the redesign includes spaces for locals to practice their crafts and exhibition areas for artifacts.
The corridor entrance foyer features a wooden pergola, providing a dedicated space for local women of Badami to create wall paintings.

TROPIC ZEN
Academics : 4th year/I | 2023
Type : Interior Design
Supervisor: ID. Anuja Shilpakar
The master bedroom is redesigned with a tropical theme by combining natural elements and vibrant colors to create a calm and welcoming atmosphere.
Natural materials, such as bamboo and rattan, are used for furniture and decor to add an authentic touch of nature, and vibrant colors, like turquoise and coral, are used to infuse life into the space and make it feel lively and relaxing.
When conceptualizing the bedroom’s design, natural elements such as wood, rattan, and bamboo were deliberately selected to cultivate a cozy and welcoming ambiance. The inclusion of expansive windows serves the dual purpose of maximizing natural light intake and facilitating the circulation of fresh air.

The main idea of the park, which is located alongside the Lalitpur riverbanks, is to develop kids’ motor abilities by immersing them in a natural setting.
The purpose of placing mounds in the park deliberately is to inspire children to become fearless and adventurous as they explore and traverse the undeveloped land.

The site features a sloped topography, with contours indicating a non-flat terrain where the land slopes from the eastern side down to the river on the west. The arrangement of houses is portrayed in accordance with the ascending contours of the land
The design ensures unobstructed sunlight exposure across the entire site. Four-bedroom houses are strategically placed on corner plots, while those surrounding the courtyards embody the “four quadrant homes” concept.
The centrally located blocks consist of the most luxurious plots in accordance with their significant location. Additionally, other houses are equipped with spacious backyards and front yards, including the 4-bedroom semi-detached houses and 2-bedroom row houses located on the southern side of the master plan.

The apartment complex stands as a testament to modern architectural ingenuity, drawing inspiration from the sleek lines and minimalist aesthetics of contemporary design.
One of its standout features is the deliberate tapering in height, which not only adds a dynamic visual appeal but also serves a functional purpose: allowing ample natural light to filter into the vibrant plaza below.
