Official Launch of Life Global Charity Igniting Hope for Impoverished

Life Global Australia, an ACNCregistered newly established charity committed to uplifting some of the world’s poorest and most remote communities, celebrated its official Australian launch on June 28 2023, at the prestigious Kirribilli Club in Sydney. The event marked a significant milestone as the first fundraising opportunity for the charity following the global pandemic and was sponsored by their first corporate partner, The Next Green Group.

The charity’s founder, Dr Dipti McGowan, envisions initially transforming the lives of over 20,000 people through sustainable support, empowering them to overcome poverty and adversity. Life Global Australia aims to raise AUD$1.5 million over the next three years, with a special focus on partnering with fully vetted and well-established charities with a shared vision to achieve their goals. The first partner charity is Project ‘Life’ based in India.

Project ‘Life’ serves as an essential conduit for humanitarian efforts, focusing on building schools, providing holistic educational opportunities, empowering women, and providing critical health solutions especially for thalassemia, which is a preventable fatal blood disorder prevalent in the region. Life Global Australia seeks to create a lasting impact on the lives of those living in remote communities by joining forces with Project ‘Life’.

The Australian launch event was attended by guests from Australia and India. These included Meetal Koticha Shah, Joint Executive Trustee, and Rushikesh Pandya, Chief Commercial and Development Officer of Project ‘Life’. Their passionate speeches underscored the shared commitment and tireless efforts to uplift the impoverished communities of Gujarat. Also present were the Group CEO of the event sponsor, Mr Ryan O’Hare, who delivered a very supportive and encouraging speech, and the

Olympic torch bearer and GOPIO (Oceania) President, Harmohanji Singh Walia.

Attended by approximately 70 guests from the Sydney business communities including the Indian diaspora, the launch event proved to be a resounding success. Driven by the unwavering dedication of the Life Global Australia team, the event showcased the three major programs the charity supports through its funding: Education, Women’s Empowerment, and Health.

Under the Education program, Life Global Australia endeavours to build schools in remote areas, providing access to quality education for the less privileged. The Women’s Empowerment initiative delivers vocational training, equipping women with skills that lead to sustainable incomes and a brighter future. The Health program focuses on educating communities, conducting blood screenings, and facilitating blood delivery to support the reduction and, eventual, eradication of thalassemia in these areas.

The successful launch in Sydney served as a centrepiece to satellite launch events held on the Gold Coast, sponsored by GOPIO Gold Coast; in Brisbane, sponsored by Jagdeep Foundation; and in Melbourne sponsored by local Indian diaspora, demonstrating the charity’s commitment to extending its reach across Australia.
