Logo
Project: to create a logo for Jacob’s Ladder, a male therapy group that focuses on building self-confidence and strength of character. My take: I used masceline colors to present an alphamale feel. I used the image of a ladder to connote ascension and growth, incorportaing the letters J and L to tie it all together.

Brochure
Project: to design a fundraising brochure for Lev Lalev, an Israeli girls’ orphanage in Netanya. My take: I used a clean, boxy layout to give the brochure a clean-cut and proffesional feel. I chose a palette of pastel colors to reflect the soft and warm atmosphere of the orphanage, giving the brochure a youthful, feminine air.
Advertisement Campaign Project: to create a series of advertisements for Interflora, an online flower company. The goal was to practice using our skills in typography, space, color, and word choice to convey an appealing pitch. My take: I did a series of three ads, plus a billboard layout. They all the same layout to thread them together, yet each has a different color and text to draw interest.
Packaging Design
Project: to design a packaging template for a dried fruit product. My take: I designed one whimsical fruit package, geared more toward kids, and another classy package targeting an adult consumer base.
Magazine Layout
Project: to create a layout for Family Circle, a familyoriented magazine. This project was a practical way to gain familiarity with typesetting and layout. My take: I used an overrall clean yet
Typography Patterns
Project: to create interesting patterns using letters. This exercise displayed how typogrophy is an art in and of itself.
Typography Poster
Project: to design a poster for an art exhibition of the works of Milton Glaser, a famous 20th-century graphic designer. The goal was to use Glaser’s unique design style to present a poster that embodied his work. My take: I styled my advertisement after one of Glaser’s most well known works, a cover for a Bob Dylan album that encapsulates his whimsical design style.
Stationary Set
Project: to create a stationary set using a monocromatic color palett. My take: I used bright, girly colors and a fun pattern to appeal to school-aged girls.
Word Art
Project: to present different words in a way that illustrates their meaning. This project was meant to show us how words themselves can be transformed into art tthat gives over a message.

Resturuant Branding
Project: to create a logo, menu, and various paraphenalia for Crossroads, an upscale vegan resturuant. My take: I designed a clean, sharp logo to lend a sense of elegance, while using earth-toned colors to still give it a rustic, natural feel.

Book Cover
Project: to design a book cover for Now I Know, a philosophical book proving the authenticity of Torah Judaism. My take: I designed an abstract cover with question marks to represent uncertainty and doubt fading into exclamation points, which symbolize clarity and knowlege. I also included these alements within the title text itsel for a dramatic effect.
Magazine Illustrations
Job: to create a background for a d’var Torah about the meraglim, which explained how they transitioned from being Turim, explorers of Eretz Yisrael, to meraglim, seeking out the negative of the land. My take: I showed the meraglim heading away from the word “turim” and toward the word “meraglim”.
Job: to create an artistic background fo the concept of Yoseph’s coat as an ins and meditation. My take: I painted colorful swashes sw filled with images reflecting the sense
or an article that uses spiration for reflection
wirling out of the coat, of imagination and
Job: to create an illustration to accompany a poem about Jewish rebirth and rebuilding from destruction. My take: I painted a baby rising up from the ashes of historic persecution and anti-Semitism, above him growing a “tree of life to repreent Jewish survival and continuity.
Magazine Version
Original Illustration
Job: to create an illustration for an article about a son enstranged from his father, who then comes to appreciate his father after his father’s passing. My take: I made the father and son facing back-to-back, as if distanced from one another, and then the son holding hands with a ghosted image of the father in front of his tombstone to show their “coming together” after the father’s death.
Job: to create an illustration for an article of personal reflections from a woman who traveled the globe and found a sense of Jewish family wherever she was, just like a sukka is a “temporary jewish home. My take: I painted the countries the author lived in, each one fading into the next, ending with a sukka decorated with the flags of each country.
Monograms
Job: to create customized monograms for wedding invitations. My take: the image on the left has a floral feel, while the one on the right has a more classic, clean look.
Flyers
Job: to create a series of graphics for a shul kiddush, including a flyer for a fundraising raffle, a poster listing the raffle winners, and a kiddush sponsorship calendar. My take: I used a classy red background and a clean layout to give the campaign a proffesional appeal, while varying the layouts of each graphic to add interest.
