BOOKCOVER

Aim: Design the cover for Bitachon. Solution: This cover design uses the picture of a bird with wings to portray that we are “living in the shelter of His wings. The smaller birds in the distance are all of those that are striving to fly beneath Hashem. The calming, beautiful background colors intrigues viewers to open this book and be inspired.

Aim: Create an identity package for the American Recycling Company. The logo should be able to be displayed on the company’s trucks as well. Solution: Here the recycling symbol has been recreated to include the initials of the American Recycling Comany, A. R. C. It is a bold, clear logo design to look good on the company’s vehicles. Green is the winning color when it comes to recycling and it is reinforced ontop a black backgound.

vegetarians redefined Vegetarianism is a popular choice for many individuals and families. But parents may wonder if kids can safely follow a vegetarian diet and still get all necessary nutrients. Most dietary and medical experts agree that a well-planned vegetarian diet can actually be a very healthy way to eat.

T

he simplest definition of vegetarianism is a diet free of meat, fish, and fowl flesh. But eating habits of vegetarians cover a wide spectrum. At one end are lacto-ovo vegetarians who avoid animal flesh but eat eggs and milk products. At the other end are vegans, who forego eating (and often wearing) all animal-based products, honey included. Raw foodists are vegans who eat mainly raw fruits, vegetables, legumes, sprouts, and nuts.

REVIEWS This delightful, soothing instrumental music is filled with bird songs and the sound of a rushing stream which were recorded in the Sierras. The Gordons have skillfully blended in musical strains from acoustic guitar, piano, electronic keyboard and flute. As the first sunbeams irradiate a misty glade, whispers of a silver flute awaken the forest scene, lifting one into a quietly powerful experience of peace and serenity. In a meditative mood I float with Water lillies, rocked gently by a light breeze as I bask in the morning sun and drink in the affirmations implicit in the cheerful, uninhibited songs of the birds. Recommended. This lovely album from 1982 continues to be a steady seller for David and Steven Gordon. The basis for the album, are the songs of forest birds and the babbling of streams that the brothers recorded in Sequoia National Forest. Free-form melodies for guitar, flute, and synthesizer keyboards are played in concert with these environmental sounds for a relaxing, yet invigorating, effect. The mellow

1. Last Year (wham)

Last year I gave you my heart But the very next day you gave it away This year To save me from tears I›ll give it to someone special Once bitten and twice shy I keep my distance But you still catch my eye Tell me dear Do you recognize me? Well it›s been a year It doesn›t surprise me Last yearI gave you my heart But the very next day you gave it away This year To save me from tears I›ll give it to someone special A crowded room Friends with tired eye I›m hiding from you And your soul of ice My god I thought you were Someone to rely onMe? I guess I was a shoulder

nature sounds could have lured the brothers to «mush out» their music, but most of the themes, harmonies, and synthesizer effects are original and quite refreshing. — Carol Wright The Sequoia National Forest gave of its beautiful sounds ---birds, br› ooks, wind --for the backdrop of this relaxing album. The Gordons play synthesizers, guitar, flute, and piano gently improvising with this delicate and shimmering environment. Some melodies and sounds float with the elements, while some have more structure. Misty Forest Morning is not too sweet, and it offers an enticing variety of moods. Sometimes it questions, sometimes it caresses. Sometimes it surrenders.

to cry on A face on a lover with a fire in his heart A man under cover but you tore me apart Now I›ve found a real love you›ll never fool me again

2. Walking In The Air (Theme from ‹The

Snowman› - written by Howard Blake) We›re walking in the air We›re floating in the moonlit sky The people far below are sleeping as we fly I›m holding very tight I›m riding in the midnight blue I›m finding I can fly so high above with you Far across the world The villages go by like trees The rivers and the hills The forests and the streams Children gaze open mouth

Relax with the soothing sounds of nature music where the serenity of nature sounds blend with peaceful instrumental music. David & Steve Gordon have pioneered the concept of music and nature since 1982 and their nature sound music has been sought after for use as relaxation music, meditation music, yoga music and healing music. The first rays of sunlight pierce the morning mist, revealing a serene glade hidden deep within the forest. The gentle melodies of David Gordon›s piano and electronic keyboard float through the trees, as the sound of birds and a bubbling stream seem to join in harmony. The meadow awakens to the whisper on a silver flute and the pure tones of Steve Gordon›s acoustic guitar. The enchanting music unfolds producing a quietly powerful and captivating experience. This is the original nature music classic that helped to pioneer the entire New Age Music movement.

3. December Revisited

There›s a Victorian tin, I keep my memories in, I found it up in the attic. After looking inside, I find the things that I›m hiding... The leaves saved from a mistletoe kiss, Only nostalgia has me feeling like this... Like I miss you, It must be the time of year. Remember December, It›s like a wintergreen beside a diamond stream, Remember December, A fall of snow and the afterglow. It could be taking our breath away But the years stand in

the way, Remember December, How does it make you feel inside? Beneath a Valentine, I see a locket is shining I think it must be the wine, Makes me feel it›s all real. Where nothing seems to rhyme To breathe life into the dust of a keepsake I might as well try to fix a chain on a snowflake Or a heartache, It must be the time of year. Remember... Should I feel this alone, should I pick up the phone Should I call you up and wish you ‹Happy Christmas› ? I feel so alone, should I pick up the phone Take my heart in my hand And ask if you remember...

4. Melting

Here›s the last chance for the last train home

Lasting forever and ever Speeding through all the green lights Don›t let winter make you colder Be the angel at my shoulder Needing you is ok tonight Dark nights Strangers passing by Streetlights illuminate ‹goodbyes› Snow falls like stars fall from the skies Melting Full moon in the midnight blue Shining on a city made for two Can you imagine it were true? Melting Melting See you somewhere See you sometime soon See you in the frozen white city You know it can›t be just anywhere Meet you somehow Meet you down in town Meet you halfway in the city You know you can›t be just anyone Dark nights Strangers passing by Streetlights illuminate

(Queen) It›s Winter-fall, Red skies are gleaming, oh Sea-gulls are flying over, Swans are floating by Smoking chimneytops, am I dreaming Am I dreaming? The nights draw in There›s a silky moon up in the sky, yeah Children are fantasizing, Grown-ups are standing by What a super feeling, am I dreaming Am I dreaming? Wo, wo, wo, wo

[dreaming] So quiet and peaceful [dreaming] Tranquil and blissful [dreaming] There›s a kind of magic in the air [dreaming] What a truly magnificient view [dreaming] A breathtaking scene With the dreams of the world in the palm of your hand [dreaming] A cosy fireside chat [dreaming] A little this, a little that [dreaming] Sound of merry laughter skipping by [dreaming] Gentle rain beating on my face [dreaming] What an extraordinary place! And the dream of the child is the hope -of the hope- of the man It›s all so beautiful, like a landscape painting in the sky, yeah Mountains are zooming higher, mmm

Little girls scream and cry My world is spinning, and spinning, and spinning It›s unbelievable, sends me reeling Am I dreaming, Am I dreaming Oooh it›s bliss
