OUR HOURS We are open Monday – Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Full Day: Up to 10 hours per day Half Day: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Quarter Day: 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m (for Early Learners, Preschool and Pre-K) Preschool classes follow the Peppermint Tree Chld Developement Center calendar schedule, unless otherwise noted. If Peppermint Tree is closed for inclement weather, holidays, etc., the Enrichment Program will be closed unless otherwise stated. Peppermint Tree School closings and delays are listed on local TV and Radio stations. If Peppermint Tree is on a two hour delay, our morning classes will not meet.

MY PARENT AND ME Music and movement for Infants, Toddlers, 2′s, 3’s and 4 year olds Classes are held Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. Each is a 30 minute class followed by a 15 minute social snack time. It is a relaxed environment to share music between children and adults. Original music inspired by many cultures and music genre. Self expression is encouraged through movement, musical instruments, scarves, bean bags and other surprises to keep it lively and interesting. Rhymes, finger plays, singing and more. Explorations of rhythm, tempo and pitch variations provide exposure to early pattern recognition. Children and parents can connect during snack time after class. Original music inspired by many cultures and music genre. Self expression is encouraged through movement, musical instruments, scarves, bean bags and other surprises to keep it lively and interesting. Rhymes, finger plays, singing and more.

The Peppermint Tree offers a “before” and “after” school program to better serve the local community. School – age children engage in both indoor and outdoor recreational activities including board games, ball games, arts & crafts, puzzles, and more. Transportation is provided by the Toms River school system for the Cedar Grove elementary school, the East Dover elementary school,and the 1144 Hooper Avenue pre-school facility.

Our facility is designed with room to play and learn. We offer an array of learning materials to stimulate each child’s interests: books, paint, easels, arts & crafts, science, nature, manipulatives, blocks, clay, dough ,water tables, sand tables and much more!

Learning to share, to be a good friend, listening, using words appropriately, conversation skills. Self help skills such as hand washing, take care of own materials. Sensory play such as with sand, water, play dough, finger paints, and use of many art materials, nature walks and exploration. Daily book reading at Circle Time, music and movement, finger plays Colors, shapes, animals identification, sorting, classifying, counting. Enjoyment of music and movement: as the home base of Mr. Scott the Music Man, The Peppermint Tree infuses the children’s day with music experiences including live Mr. Scott interactive musical movement sessions, musical instruments.
