FAILE PUZZLEBOXES & MORE
These are an interesting addition to contemporary art objects, unique multiples and objects of desire. Loving the aesthetic, if not the price. Nice touch with the app though. More on this plus a new show and print release below. Faile Puzzle Boxes: As some of you know we've been exploring a series of work influenced by the use of modular wooden cubes over the last three years, this has come to fruition in a variety of ways. Today we are launching a new website and mobile app to highlight the original inspiration behind this work. Please take some time to enjoy the puzzles and play. The idea behind the site and app was to create a place where anyone can play, solve or abstract the artworks within the world of Faile. The links are here and there's more information below in the third person. Faile Puzzle Boxes Website: http://failepuzzleboxes.com/
Faile Puzzles App at iTunes Store:
LA Works on Paper "Faile: A Decade of Prints & Originals": It seems like everyone is heading out to LA, so we thought we'd join the party. We're doing a small, works on paper show with a new LA-based print shop called Post No Bills in Venice, CA. The show will feature a variety of works on paper over the last 12 years (a decade just sounded better). Plus a few other goodies. Should be fun. Opening will be June 23rd. There will be several new pieces available at the show. More information to come on this over the next few weeks. PaperMonster Print: Tuesday - June 7th at Noon in New York. We know this one has taken a little longer than expected. Despite the amount of time, you can't really rush these, we couldn't be more pleased with the print. It will be an edition of 300, rather large in physical size and a lot of color. We hope you're going to enjoy it. Thanks for the inquiries. We'll be sure to send an update when it's set to launch. That's it for now, more to come soon. Thanks to everyone as always, the support is greatly appreciated. Like

strange markings left by an unknown tribe. These works are gifts given only to the occasional explorer, found in abandoned factories, warehouses and industrial sites. This is art you have to earn by leaving the designated areas and heading out past the No Entry signs of the urban environment. A diverse range of artists find themselves attracted to these twilight zones and in recent years something of a movement has come to light, huddled around the idea of urban decay and abandonment as the ultimate canvas. This burning curiosity to see what is behind the fence exists to a greater or lesser degree in most people,
but for some it is irresistible. Urban ruins are like the woods in the old fairy tales, they are the place where the ordered reality of modern city life gives way to the irrational, the ambient and the surreal. So next time you think about scouting for art, why not look a little off the beaten track? Visibility is good for certain projects but the delightful, terrible intimacy afforded by art found in the urban woods is just begging to be explored. Brought to you by carpet bombing culture. Besides, you can't buy Scion here..ok, so shut it. David Choe presents Risk at Basel 2010 "This video is a short time laps video of legendary graffiti artist RISK freestyling a wall at Art Basel in Miami. There were many talented artists from around the world at Art basel. Many legendary artists congregated in the Wynwood Arts District., In typical RISK fashion, RISK grabbed some cans and impressed the crowd with an incredible impromptu piece." - David Choe 2010 For more information visit: scionav.com/!installation Like

BIRDS OF A FEATHER VIA MOCA
Make of it what you will. Nicely filmed, great can control. The theme ? Well I guess it's the conquering of Native Americans by industrialisation/capitalism, can't help thinking the stereotyped Native American was probably raped and murdered by those arriving on the train, yeehaa !. Ironic that this went over the top of Blu's "censored"coffin draped dollar bills. I guess the slaughter of the innocent is deemed acceptable by Deitch when viewed through the rose tinted specs of history. A bit of an embarrassment from all involved. Unless of course, the previous mural starts to bleed through and merge with this one. In which case it would be spot on. Artists Lee Quinones, Abel, Cern, FUTURA, Loomit, Push, RISK and Sano document the creation of their monumental artwork "Birds Of A Feather" (2011). Created for Art in the Streets at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, April 17-August 8, 2011. Video produced by MOCA in collaboration with TEAM G.
