Welcoming design enthusiasts from around the globe, our dynamic programme offers more than 100 experiential sessions that bring design ideas to life. If you are a colour fan, there is plenty of it this season. Celebrate its positive power with a specially commissioned installation by international artist Moritz Waldemeyer, for an immersive experience of light, colour and motion. In the showrooms, expect first glimpses of new season collections and designer collaborations; enlightening meet-the-designer sessions; artisan demonstrations; Q&As and expert guidance, unseen anywhere else. This wealth of insider insights is extraordinary and, what’s more, it is a free resource for every visitor. Specially commissioned places to eat and drink complement the events programme and make Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour a lively destination where the design community comes together. World-class talent will be sharing their knowledge and creative vision too. Nicola Harding, founder of Harding & Read, Charles Bateson of his eponymous studio and Georgina Cave, founder of Cave Interiors explore how they bring individual flair by throwing out the rule book and embrace individual style with passion and humour. Book ticket: £10

FREEDOM OF CREATIVITY Ground Floor, Centre Dome Specially commissioned for Focus/18, a flutter of butterflies swirl into the domes. Taking cues from the free-spirited approach to colour and creativity that is in the ascent, the aerial installation, conceived by Arabella McNie, has a decidedly positive mood. A bird with exotic plumage and butterflies with jewelled wings have been fashioned in joyous palettes and exuberant colour combinations. The butterfly is a symbol of metamorphosis, and with its undisputed momentum, Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour continues to evolve and develop, championing the design world with its confident vision. 156
