CNC AUTOMATIC TURNING

At Mc Uldall Maskinfabrik, we are known for delivering workpieces with a high level of finish. We have fully automated CNC lathes that are extremely suitable for serial production.

These lathes produce pieces from Ø1mm to Ø65mm, the machines allow for complete part production on a single machine. This means that we are able to supply both large and small batch sizes.

We process brass, a range of steel types, aluminium, plastic, stainless steel, and acid-resistant materials.

CNC TURNING, LARGE AND SMALL

At Mc Uldall Maskinfabrik we have CNC turning capacity covering workpiece sizes from Ø1mm up to Ø1100mm in 5300mm turning length.

We have standard turning capacity on 3-, 4- and 5-axis with milling function, 5-axis modern lathes where the workpiece can be finished in one operation.

Our CNC controlled lathes are equipped with automatic workpiece feed. Our turning department is complemented by a honing machine with capacity from Ø30 to Ø600 in 4500mm honing length, which we use for finishing cylinders and scraped surface heat exchangers, where there are surface requirements down to Ra 0.05.

We also have standard manual lathes, which we use for training our apprentices and simple one-off production.

CNC MULTI-MACHINING

Mc Uldall has several 7-axis multi-machines, where milling cutter and lathe are integrated in one machine, and since we have been involved from the beginning, we now have extensive experience in this area.

A multi-machine can finalise the parts in one operation. This means that there is no manual touching until the part is completely finished, resulting in very high quality and precision at a favourable price.

These machines are highly suitable for complicated as well as simple parts from single piece to serial production.

Okuma Multus is a 7-axis turning & milling machining centre, where it is possible to finish parts in one operation. CNC MILLING

At Mc Uldall Maskinfabrik, we are experts in CNC milling and carry out milling in series that vary from single piece production to series with large numbers of pieces. With our advanced technology and equipment, we can handle both vertical and multisided horizontal processing. We use a multitude of time-saving clamping fixtures that ensure efficiency and precision in every project.

At all our CNC machining centers, our experienced and skilled operators have access to one of the market’s most advanced CAD/CAM systems, which is continuously updated. This system gives us shared access to the customer’s drawing files via network, which makes us extremely flexible and minimizes the lead time from idea to finished product.

CMM MEASURING HONING

With our 3D measuring machine, we can measure critical items, which provides the customer with documentation that the specified tolerances are met. Measuring software can measure objects up to 1000x2000x800 mm with great flexibility and can handle very small items and up to 1200 kg in item weight.

Measurement reports and control plans – prepared in collaboration with our customers and carried out to the extent desired, data recorded in measurement reports. During production, the employee can carry out process control and in the event of any processing errors, the employees can intervene and make the relevant adjustments.

At Mc Uldall Maskinfabrik we specialize in CNC-Honing, a technique for internal grinding of pipes and cylinders using an advanced honing machine of the Horizontal honing type. This machine is equipped with Siemens control, which ensures precision and quality in every task.

Our honing capacity ranges from Ø30mm to Ø600mm in diameter and up to 4100mm in length, enabling us to handle a wide range of honing tasks.

We strive to achieve surface roughness down to Ra 0.01, which ensures a smooth and uniform surface on all machined items.

We ourselves use our honing machine for grinding scrap heat exchangers and cylinders, but we are also ready to assist you with your specific honing needs. Whether small or large series, we have the expertise and capacity to deliver.

WELDING

At Mc Uldall Maskinfabrik, we are proud of our position as a leader in welding. Our team of specialist blacksmiths offer welding in most materials and are experts in stainless steel welding, ordinary steel welding and aluminum welding.

They are certified in a number of advanced welding methods:

• MIG/MAG welding

• Our state-of-the-art welding booths are designed to handle everything from aluminum welding to stainless steel welding with the highest precision.

GRINDING AND POLISHING

SHEARING & CUTTING

Our skilled blacksmiths can, of course, handle general customisation during the building of welded constructions.

Over many years, Mc Uldall Maskinfabrik has built up a good network of subcontractors. Subcontractors who, like us, are based on high quality and credibility.

Through them, we get the raw materials that are used in our production sheared and cut.

BENDING & ROLLING

Our skilled blacksmiths can, of course, handle general adjustments during the building of welded constructions.

Over many years, MC Uldall Maskinfabrik has built up a good network of subcontractors. Subcontractors who, like us, are based on high quality and credibility.

Through them, we bend and roll the raw materials that are used in our production.

GLASSBLOWING

We offer glassblowing of smaller items in-house. Glassblowing can be used for many purposes on different materials. It is used for surface treatment of stainless steel, aluminium, plastic, glass, copper, and brass.

Glass blasting compresses the surface and induces internal compressive stresses, which actually increases resistance to stress corrosion cracking.

Therefore, glass beads do not abrade the surface material, but only remove impurities, leaving the surface with a nice matt finish.

CAD/CAM-PROGRAMMING

We have extensive experience in using Mastercam as a CAM software, we can load all file formats such as STEP files or DWG files along with a PDF drawing with all important dimensions and tolerances applied. During CAM programming, we can see if there will be any problems with the machining before the machining begins, so that delays and wasted time are avoided.

SIMULATION

At Mc Uldall Maskinfabrik, we are experts in machining simulation and technical planning. By using advanced CAM programming and CNC programming techniques, we can offer in-depth simulations that improve the quality and efficiency of your projects. This service is invaluable in the development process, and by predicting possible challenges we can save both time and resources, ultimately reducing the number of necessary steps in the process.

ASSEMBLY

We have 500m2 in our assembly department, which is equipped with full 5 tonne crane coverage.

Mc Uldall offers turnkey delivery that includes final assembly for our customers. Get rid of assembly and FAT testing and leave it to us. Our employees in the assembly department have long experience as repairers and machine builders. We carry out sub-assembly as well as final assembly with functional testing.
