Ah, hello... Grandpa speaking?
What’s wrong with Grandpa? He’s acting really strange,
It seems like he has forgotten me, Why does he have to change?
Who’s Brad?
What’s wrong with Grandpa? He sometimes calls me Brad,
I don’t know who he thinks I am, It’s making me feel sad.
Hmm... what am I doing in the snow with this grill?
What’s wrong with Grandpa? He can’t seem to sit still,
Mum found him in the snow, Trying to use the old grill.
What’s wrong with Grandpa?
He says he wants to leave here. Why does he think this?
I’m scared he’ll disappear.
Let’s see how Grandpa’s memory is today.
MEMORY TEST
What’s wrong with Grandpa? He’s not who he used to be,
We took him to the doctors,
To ask what they could see.
Grandpa is a bit ill, and he forgets
lots of things, but he still loves us!
Mum says Grandpa has dementia And sometimes he’s not well,
He may not always remember And sometimes he might yell.
She says we need to show him photos, To remind him of his life
Pictures of the past and present, Of his friends, family and wife.
But I know that Grandpa loves me, He tells me every day,
Even though his mind might wander, I know we’ll be okay.
