9:30-10:30 a.m. MN CPA Educators Session
Join your fellow Educators from across the State for a round table discussion. Hosted by MN CPA.
9:30-10:30 a.m. CMA Review Session
Join our sponsors Gleim for a short presentation on the CMA exam as well as an interactive game that covers CMA exam and Gleim details. Enjoy yourself and have an opportunity to win prizes handed out at the end of the session.
10:30-11:30 a.m. CPA Exam Strategies 10:30-11:30 a.m. Panel: “Behind Closed Doors”
Students meet with a panel of recent graduates working in various accounting related fields including public accounting, industry accounting, internal and IT audit, and government accounting. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions you might not feel comfortable asking a potential employer. Sample questions: - Should I take the CPA Exam right away, or wait until I have some experience? - How much training or mentoring do you get before you begin working with clients? - What are the differences between public accounting, an industry position and a government position?

Schedule of Events
1:00-2:00 p.m. Panel: “Accounting Career Paths”
Students meet with a panel of experienced professionals representing a range of career paths, including public accounting, industry accounting, internal and IT audit, government accounting and accounting educators. Students have a chance to learn more about the opportunities available to accounting professionals, how the panelists got where they are, and what career path is right for them.
1:30-2:30 p.m. Group Session: “Interviewing & Resume Tips”
For those unable to schedule one-on-one sessions, attend a group presentation on interview and resume tips. Topics covered range from what to expect at the interview, what to wear, how to act, questions to expect, what to prepare for, questions students should be asking, resume design and format, what to include on the resume, and how to prepare the cover letter.
2:30 p.m. Prize Drawings
Must be present to win Prizes donated by the exhibitors. Win gift cards, company swag or a Becker CPA review course!
