FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: What should I wear? Going to the Symphony is always a special occasion; therefore, most people enjoy dressing up a bit. You’ll see concertgoers in business formal attire, business casual and everything in between. Your concert experience should be comfortable and enjoyable, so dress up or down to your preference. When do I clap? Silence between movements helps maintain concentration during a symphonic work, so that the applause at the end becomes a true outpouring of appreciation. Cameras and recording devices are not permitted. We appreciate your cooperation in avoiding talking during concerts. What if I arrive late? Latecomers are seated after the conclusion of the first work on the program. Patrons who leave the hall during the performance will not be reseated until after the completion of the piece. May we bring children? Children five years and above are welcome at all concerts. Children of all ages are welcome at Family, Nutcracker and Youth Orchestra concerts. Every child over one year old requires a ticket.
