Since its Inception Beginning as the “Women’s Committee” in 1950, The Guild of the Jacksonville Symphony Association (JSA) has given substantial financial support to our Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra while spearheading innovative music education opportunities for school children of the First Coast.
Education and Community Programs Promoting music education is an integral component of the Jacksonville Symphony Guild’s service to community programs such as scholarships for student members of the Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra, our Instrument Zoo classroom visits, the Musical Safari Teaching Booklets that accompany the I-Zoo programs and The Harmony and Melody Grant Awards to teachers. These program were designed to supplement music education in our public schools.
Open to all men and women interested in supporting the continuity of symphonic music availability, as well as music education, The Guild is known for both its effective leadership and the extraordinary commitment of its member volunteers to the First Coast community.
Ways and Means - Fundraising Orchestrating fundraising events throughout the year, The Guild is proud to be consistently singled out by the JSA as one of it’s largest contributors.
Designer Showhouse The most anticipated and successful fundraising event is the annual, three-week-long Symphony Guild Showhouse, a collaborative Guild project that involves both corporate and public sectors of the First Coast and hundreds of volunteers.
