10-speed drivetrain Increased gearing range. Quicker, more precise shifting. And it's all the rage in 2011.
More momentum A bigger wheel holds its momentum better. So you stay rolling over rough stuff and maintain your speed through the
corners.
Better angle of attack Increased wheel size decreases the angle of attack. That means bigger wheels make obstacles seem smaller.
Lower centre of gravity On a 29er, your centre of gravity is lower relative to the pivot point (the front axle). This results in a more stable feeling when you're sitting in the cockpit.
Greater stability A 29" tyre has a longer contact patch. This greatly improves climbing and cornering ability, and it helps the bike float over soft terrain such as sand.
ABP Race ABP Race takes all the benefits of ABP and provides them in a lighter, narrower system that’s quicker and easier to use than ever before.
BB95 BB95 is an OCLV technology that allows the bottom bracket a 95mm wide stance with Net Molded precision-fit sockets and press-fit bearings, compatible with all major crank manufacturers. This wide stance allows greater surface area for the OCLV Carbon tubes, resulting in a stronger, stiffer platform. Combined with Mag EVO Link and hi-lo stays, BB95 helps your wheels track each other, rather than twist and turn with each bump.
Carbon Armor Sometimes you need a little extra protection, so we've developed a light, tough external shield. Our Carbon Armor polymer shield adds reassurance to riders who know their down tube is bound to take some abuse.
Direct-mount front derailleur A traditional front derailleur attaches to the frame with a band clamp. Our direct-mount front derailleur attaches directly to the frame using a solid, flat interface. This fastening method ensures crisper, more accurate front shifting.
E2 E2 is the evolution of the traditional 1-1/8" headset to a tapered head tube, fork, and headset system.
FCC MTB Oversized hub, flanges, and end caps create a flex-free 29" wheel capable of chewing through technical terrain.
FCC wheel Wider, taller flanges, and outboard J-bend spokes create a stiffer wheel system, while larger 25mm end caps improve hub/fork connection. FCC flanges FCC MTB pushes the wheel flanges out and up, improving the bracing angle between flange and rim for a stronger, flex-free wheel. FCC endcaps The oversized hub shell at the center of the robust FCC system allows for taller flanges and oversized end caps. The world's best carbon OCLV (Optimum Compaction, Low Void) Mountain is carbon fibre designed to withstand the abuse of singletrack trail riding. It's tested to a higher impact standard than regular carbon, and is fabricated using a unique layup process with advanced materials.
Optimum compaction
To create OCLV Carbon, we selectively apply heat and pressure to densely compress multidirectional layers of carbon fiber. This achieves the optimum ratio of fiber to resin in order to maximize strength and minimize weight.
Low void Voids are small, sometimes microscopic gaps between carbon layers where fatigue failures typically begin. Optimum compaction all but eliminates voids in our carbon fibre pieces and components, achieving a strength that exceeds even aerospace standards.
Top swing carbon link Minimises material and weight while maintaining a strong bracing angle for a more rigid frame.
