N/aking Bicycle Parking N/lore Efficitive The path between James France and Stewart N/lason is one of the most busy place of Loughborough University during the 10 minutes before and after classes. Students cycle to their classroom in the last few minutes, anxiously, trying to find a parking place in the mess of bikes. Extending to the 7 main areas of central park, including Schofield, Rear of Schofield, Brockington, Herbert lVlanzoni, James France, James France Admin and Stewart lVlason, there is a confusion of the use of bike racks. N/lany students have given up cycling to classes because of the difficulty of finding a free bike rack in a really short time, while students who are still cycling usually feel upset and tired of finding parking place in such a

PARKING HERE PLEASE N/laking Bicycle Parking N/lore Efficitive

Design Proposal

Benefits

lVaking the bike rack shining different colour of lights during the ten minutes before and after classes would help cyclists look for free racks more effictive -- they will see whether there is any free rack or not, which could avoid time wasting for looking for parking place in the mess of bikes. And therefore, it secures more time for them cycling to other parking spots.

-: -

No extra behavior required from cyclists, which means the method is extremely easy to be accepted; The prompt would be easy to catch and recognise; The different colour of lights would show a clear location and usage of bike racks; Cyclists could acquire the situation of the parking spot at a distance, therefore they can make decisions while cycling; The method is not very difficult to achive.

When there is only one bike locked on the parking rack, the light would turn to orange from green.

l,

When there are more than one bike Iocked on the parking rack, the light would turn off.

The shining lights would attract cyclists' attention readily easily while they are cycling to the parking spot

at a distance.

ltt. When there is no bike locked on the parking rack, the rack would be shining a green light.

As UK universities have pocketed f,,3.9 billion in tuition fees from international students in 2OL3/ 14, TUCO, The University Caterers Organisation, is keen to roll out the red carpet for what is an increasingly vital clientele. However, even if the education quality of UK is very appreciated, international student's complain of British food would never stop. Behaviour Change Strategy Establish positive expectations

People would be tired and resist to make a lot of decision;

--- As international student's incorrect preconception and natural resistance about British food might lead to a bad eating experience while the truth is opposite, this strategy could help with modifying the existing negative or neutral expectations. Which means, one solution could be releasing more positive advertisement in order to reduce the bad impression.

Simplify the behaviour --- lt will call natural resistance for users to adope something new if it needs too much effort

Minimise decisions to reduce decision fatigue

--- lf the previous strategy works well, international students would becoming interested in British food. lt has been figured out that the majority of international students choose to cook native food by themselves and they are lacking of the knowledge of British recipes. While cooking is a good way for one to get into British food and culture, but the unfamiliarity of both food material and condiments will waste too much time and patience in purchase. Therefore, reducing the number of difficult decisions a user is forced to make can lower the willpower.

Sakata Gintoki is introduced as a former rebel samurai who lives in a fictionalized version of 1-860s Japan after being invaded and transformed by aliens. Gintoki once fought the alien invaders until he realized the lack of sense in doing so, leading to him choosing to instead make a living as a freelancer for hire in Edo alongside his friends Shinpachi Shimura and Kagura in order to pay the monthly rent.

\l USER

Sakata Gintoki, the founder and president of the Yorozuya Gin-Chan, the former Joui warrior Shiroyasha (White Demon). NEEDS Easy to contact others at any time, with the

function of assistance in fighting, the style of design match the characteristic. TECHNOLOGY

It is an aerial historical fiction, set in Edo which has been conquered by aliens named Amanto, which means there is a combination of old Japanese style and visions of future technology.

His standard outfit consists of a white yukata with a blue swirl pattern on the bottom and ends of the sleeves, worn so that his arm only goes through the left sleeve, and the right half droops down over his obi. Over this, he wears a black belt buckled so that there is leftover dangling from the buckle, from which his bokuto Lake Toya hangs. Underneath, he wears a black, red-lined shirtwith a popped collar and black pants. He also wears knee-high black boots, buckled at the top and

above his foot.

Gintoki is extremely lazy, and can be quite snarky. He is often seen wearing an "extremely dumb" expression on his face, and spends his days lounging around reading Jump whilst imparting wise and sage-like advice to his younger employees, even though he doesn't actually know what he's talking about most of the time. But he is willing to risk his life for anyone, and is shown to be extremely caring towards his friends. Despite all of these traits Gintoki possesses an immense amount of charisma, and has amassed him very loyal allies, friends, and even former enemies.
