Advocacy and the Vulnerable Barrister Training Part of the national training programme for advocates dealing with vulnerable witnesses, this course aims to ensure that barristers understand the key principles behind the approach to and questioning of vulnerable people in the justice system. It is anticipated that this training will become mandatory for any advocate wishing to undertake publicly funded work in serious sexual offence cases involving vulnerable witnesses. Course attendance is equivalent to 3 CPD hours plus 8 CPD hours for pre-course preparation.
