Whether on or off your mat, show up. Everyday, i show up, fully present. Connecting to my breath to my higher source, welcoming the arrival of something new, something beautiful into my life, my mind, my body. On my mat i can connect and hear my greatest truth and release my fears with courage and compassion and in those moments of discomfort i discover my value and worth. I want to teach and share this healing path to everyone. If you keep returning to your mat you will learn to love yourself. You will learn to slow down and hear how fear and doubt show up in the body and limit your breath while in a pose. You will learn how to release yourself from the inner prison that causes addiction, anxiety, depression and aggression. It takes many falls trials tests to learn and discover who you truly are and tap into courage to detach from things that are not good for you that limit you to what you are capable of becoming. Discover the power over your mind and body and how to use them to lead a loving creative life. Never give up. Be in tune with your body your energy your soul. Love yourself, take care of your body, enjoy every step, stay aware yet mindful and savor each breath and new adventures that you explore.Namaste

TYPE OF YOGA Dena Leibowitz, e-ryt-500, has been teaching yoga and healthy living for over two decades. Her lineage is from the Anusura and vinyasa tradition. She loves the breath and heart led focus of yoga. To her yoga is more than the asanas but a way of life and she fully integrates yoga in her work with clients who suffer with depression, anxiety, aggression and addiction, as well as with her family, and in her social life. As a teacher, she constantly studies and creates sequences and themes to meet the needs of her students. Dena is approachable, inspiring and makes learning fun. Expect challenging, yet accessible classes. She gracefully weaves traditional and contemporary approaches to vinyasa yoga. Her journey developing healing programs began in 1996, introducing cutting edge ideas to the very western psychology ďŹ eld. Over time dena integrated more eastern approaches to treat depression, anxiety, and addiction. Her hard work, passion for learning and love of yoga, reiki & kabbalah fuel her soul. Dena lives a spirit driven life on and off her mat. She believes that living compassionately and courageously, and allowing the journey of self discovery, is the best self-investment one can do. Dena's work and home life are grounded in the same loving principles. She loves her students, clients, friends, 3 beautiful daughters, golden-doodle, husband and parents who are all in maryland.
