Dig for Precious Gems and Quartz in Jessieville
W
ith rolling hills, gleaming lakes and beautiful forests, Arkansas’s natural beauty is easy to see. Dig a little deeper and you’ll find what’s underneath the Natural State’s rich earth is just as beautiful. Many geologists believe Arkansas quartz, found in abundance in the Ouachita Region, is among the best in the world. For this reason, tourists flock here to prospect in the abundant quartz crystal deposits for these beautiful, clear stones. Whether you want to search for crystals in a “digyour-own” mine or prefer to find perfect quartz crystals in one of the many rock and gem shops in the area, you will enjoy the natural beauty and “energy” of Ouachita quartz. Get Your Hands Dirty Visit Ron Coleman Mining, located just minutes from Hot Springs Village, the premiere destination for handson mining and precious gem gifts for nearly 30 years. You can mine for your own gems in the large digging area where you are sure to find beautiful quality quartz crystals.
DID YOU KNOW? Not only beautiful, crystals are known for amplifying energy and are used by many alchemical healing practitioners.
Ron Coleman Mining also features a gift shop with quartz and amethyst crystals in a variety of sizes as well as minerals from around the world, hand crafted figurines, and jewelry. Take a guided tour of the gallery show room featuring gallery style pieces of large crystal and large amethyst, jade, fossils, sandstone art and much more. Onsite Crystal Ridge RV Park provides campsite rentals. Zip Around Looking for a little more excitement? Take a ride on the zip line at Ron Coleman’s Mine for a bird’s eye view of the mine and surrounding scenery. You’ll be glad you did.
