ICEBERG MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Egersund Group is one of the worlds leading producers of equipment such as pelagic trawls and fish farming nets for the maritime industry. This gives us a unique production facilities and strong delivery capabilities. We have developed smart and cost efficient solutions for handling large scale problems for the offshore industry. Egersund Group consists of a group of dedicated people with wide experience in various fields of the maritime sector. We link knowledge and technology from the seismic industry, fisheries and oil & gas sector and find innovative solutions to current maritime challenges. Drifting icebergs is a problem for rigs operating in the arctic. Our well-tested and efficient product ICEBERG easily handles the problem by simply towing the iceberg. Our nets and fibre ropes are all a result of skilled handcraft combined with the best materials on the market. The production facility is located in Egersund, Norway, strategically situated by the North Sea. Our modern production line provides you with hands on information and engineers ready to custom design ice management tools specifically for your needs.
ICEBERG TOWING ROPE AND NET Our nets are made of a custom made headline with flotation line and dyneema fibre ropes. This secures a durable construction for safe and steady towing operations in the harsh weather conditions in the arctic. The ropes are also dyneema with an ICEBERG cover to prevent damages. All ICEBERG systems are made with focus on HSE and safe operations. Using fibre ropes also contributes to safe deck operations. In additon the ICEBERG cover increase crew-safety by minimizing the risk of snap-back. Both the fibre rope and cover are low on weight securing easy handling and smooth operations for man and vessel. For towing small icebergs ICEBERG Towing Net does the job perfectly. For handling larger icebergs our ICEBERG Towing Rope secures the job safely. ICEBERG towing ropes are delivered with over 200 tonnes breaking strength. Nothing is stronger than its weakest link - we offer to enhance possible weak parts of the rope to prevent damages, and calculate adjusted breaking strength for the actual operations. 80, 160, 300 metres and custom made We have customized our ropes and nets to 80, 160 and 300 metres. This ensures a cost efficient product. In addition we also offer custom made ropes and nets in any size to fit your needs.

ICEBERG SERVICE TEAM Egersund Group sales and service team will continuously follow up your every need, thus having an active role in the life cycle of your equipment. Spare part kit We offer a general spare part kit consisting of verticals, vertical connection loops, bridles, connection line, twin pass slings, certified shackles, Norwegian floats and spare buoy. With the spare part kit on board you ensure smooth and efficient iceberg operations.
ICEBERG Towing Net
Storage and service We clean, inspect, repair and modify your ICEBERG ropes and nets during low season, making it ready for use in high season. Egersund Group provides 6 service stations along the Norwegian coastline, 1 in east coast Iceland and 1 in Lithuania. Each of these modern facilities are certified according to ISO 9001:2008, and equipped with its own deep water quay, making it easy for the vessels to load and unload the ICEBERG ropes and nets for service and maintenance.
