Smart City Study Tour 3rd - 5th June 2014
The Smart City Study Tour has been specifically designed around the themes of sustainability, efficiency, involving cases and projects from waste treatment to urban farming. Amsterdam is one of the world cities pioneering the research and experimentation of future living scenarios, in a context of decreasing resources and emerging environmental and social issues. Sharing expertise cases is an fundamental occasion to exchange expertise and knowledge about issues that are threatening the living standard of urban areas in all Europe and beyond. The 3-days program has been based over this collaborative and exploratory spirit. Inside this leaflet you can find the complete program, with locations, details for each visit, maps and timeline. We included also a ‘comment and reflection’ area for you to take notes and write down thoughts or questions related to your visit experience. We hope the Smart City Study Tour will prove to be an inspiring and fruitful experience to improve our city relationship and to create new connections and knowledge sharing.
