Types of Transport Around Melbourne Free City Circle Tram The Free City Circle Tram is an original Melbourne heritage tram, giving you an easy way to travel around central Melbourne, experiencing the city’s history and landmarks with an audio tour, and getting to and from major attractions with a ‘hop on and hop off’ service. Trams Explore the city and inner Melbourne by tram. All tram stops display maps, timetables and route numbers that correspond to the number on the front of the tram. Don’t forget to touch on and touch off at the start and end of your journey with your myki card. Trains and Buses Melbourne’s train and bus network will allow you to explore the outer suburbs of Melbourne, accessing schools, universities, hospitals and shopping centres. Should you wish to travel further out within Victoria, use the V/Line service to visit regional towns and significant attractions. Don’t forget to touch on and touch off at the start and end of your journey with your myki card. SkyBus SkyBus is a cost effective and easy to use bus service that runs express between Melbourne Airport and Melbourne’s city centre, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Tickets are available from the Melbourne Visitor Centre at Federation Square or from ticket machines located at each stop.
