La Siberia, the spanish area in Extremadura, located in the north-east of Badajoz province in the foothills of the Montes de Toledo range. It borders with Cáceres, Toledo and Ciudad Real provinces.
A considerable variety of habitats and landscapes are found within La Siberia’s vast territory. From the extensive plains in the south to the woodlands in the north and large stretches of water that cross the region; all are home to a wide diversity of envi- ronments, ideal for observing a wealth of flora and fauna. La Siberia is heaven for nature lovers, particu- larly birdwatchers. The region has 17 natural spaces that are part of the European Natura 2000 network, which represents 50% of its territory.
