We often t end to shoot in tight spaces specially here in Tanzania and having a wide angle lens helps to capture more of a scene that is often required for real estate photography. ●An external flash or two (if you decide to add your own light to the scene). ● A Laptop with a Camera Raw Engine (Adobe Photoshop/Light room/Capture One) installed in order to process the raw files. Besides the above, another thing that is very important is your vision and interest in this particular field. It takes a lot of patience and time to create these images. Yes, it is up to you as a photographer on how you can bring the scene in front of you to life to benefit both the agent/ owner and yourself. Each property and space that you photograph comes with its own challenges and requirements. Lighting a particular space is never the same for different spaces however having a good idea on lighting and paying particular attention to the shadow and highlights in a scene will help you better understand and capture it as required. You may have a wonderful view from a bedroom and that might be its selling point but if you cannot showcase that in your images, then that defeats the purpose of hiring you as a real estate photographer. The point is not to capture the space alone but create an impact and this makes the moment a golden one.
