INDEX PROFESSIONAL WORK
Hello! An engineer before and now a Designer, I guess ‘How stuff works’ really kept me going in life. Being curious and explorative by nature , I settled with being a Designer and made it my ultimate passion. Working with Startups- Design Studios and Mobile Commerce companies allowed me to wear many hats and I explore various capabilities. It has helped me to get a hands on experience in the various technicalities of this field and I been able to learn well from my mistakes. Following the curiousity and passion, I took admission in a Masters course and attended school in Florence, Italy. The multi cultural exposure along with Travelling in Europe has definitely broadened my perspectives in the field of Design. I wish to absorb and implement all of this through my work. In my free time, I like to write blogs and content in Design. I have given my contribution to two furniture companies in the past one year. This portfolio contains some of my Professional, Freelance and Academic Projects. It is the result of passion, inspiration and constructive relationships. Thank you in advance for taking the time to review it.

SPACE PLANNING
CONCEPT Creating a zesty & youthful place was a key requirement while designing Aureo Cafe. A warm & inviting bakery on the ground floor with a fine dining restaurant on the first floor makes up for the given space. Use of natural rope, finishes & hand drawn artboards add warmth to the space. The ceiling is left exposed & adorns ceiling pendants throughout.
CEILING PAINT
The oating shelves are made of commercial board in a size ideal for the bread baskets. These are given support by a L-Bracket made from iron, screwed to the wall. Back wall is ďŹ nished in same oak laminate used otherwise. Glass on the ceiling adds an element to this.

The site has four floors including the basement and is segregated into a bakery, fine dine, kitchen and a store. The bakery is present on the ground floor along with a casual seating space and cash counter. Fine dining caters various cuisines from all over the world. A long service counter, placed near the staircase, makes the service easy. The top floor accomodates the kitchen and toilets, while basement is used as a store.

To take inspiration from the church of Santi Apostoli in Florence and design a cafe around it. The main task was to incorporate the ancient design elements in a modern age cafe while keeping the overall feel of church alive.
The interiors of the church were studied and observed. By comparing the new age materials with the ones used, a material palette was created. Elements such as colors and overall look were kept intact.

To get inspired by your favorite Architect from old times. On the basis of their design principles to design a piece of furniture.
All the famous works on Le Corbusier were studied. His design principles were broken down and analysed. The same points were applied in the design of a multi purpose bookshelf.

Use of primary colors
The space between the concrete panels is necessary to break away from the seriousness of the heavy concrete. With primary colors against concrete and wood, this bookshelf comes across as a visual treat to brighten up any space. At the same time it exudes practicality and allows all kinds of storage. This makes order and logic possible.
CONCEPT Le Corbusier always focussed on functionality brought together by form. This bookshelf has been inspired by the design of the High Court Building in Chandigarh. Inspired by the mathematical shapes used, grid like facade, use of primary colors and basic materials like concrete and wood.
