Fall Events at the Garden September 11: Fall Family Festival Fun, crafts and games for the whole family in the splendor of a fall Garden. Create your very own scarecrow, build a bird feeder or make a fall floral arrangement to take home with you. Follow the Sunflower Trail, enjoy hot chocolate and baked apples by the Grebe Water. September 18: An Edible Garden Event Fruit Growers Festival Sample the abundance of fruits that can be grown right here in a Zone 3 garden! Experts from the Fruit Growers Association will be on hand to answer all your questions about fruit-growing in Alberta. Free with regular admission. September 23-25: DBG Crafters Fall Sale Dried flower arrangements, potpourri, skin care
products, soaps, pressed flowers, candles and other handmade crafts, many created from the bounty of the garden. Proceeds support projects and programs at the DBG. November 25-27: Crafters Christmas Sale This is the place to go for beautiful handmade wreaths, swags, table centerpieces, ornaments, and handmade gift items. December 10-11: Luminaria Thousands of candles light the paths of the Kurimoto Japanese Garden in a breathtaking display – a quiet oasis of peace and light. The Devonian Botanic Garden offers a unique setting for group functions of 2 to 160 people. Corporate retreats, meetings, workshops and social gatherings for up to 20 or romantic overnight stays for two, can be accommodated year round in the beautiful Ozawa Pavilion, a traditional Japanese teahouse. Family reunions, company picnics, birthday parties and special occasions can be celebrated in our garden tent or our Pine Pavilion (seats up to 160), during our open season.

Projects Beginner Lead-Came Panel Introduce yourself to the colours and textures of stained glass by building a traditional stained glass panel. In this course, learn to score and break, grind, lead, solder, and cement your panel. Choose from a variety of designs and build your own 10” x 15” panel to hang in the window. COURSE REGISTRATION In an effort to conserve forests, receipts and confirmations will be sent via email. To avoid cancellation of courses, please register at least two weeks prior to start of course. Registrations will be processed within a week of being received. To register, have the following information: • Course name and number • Your complete contact information • Payment (Visa, MasterCard, or cheque)

Fax Fax completed registration form to: 780-987-4141 Phone 780-987-3054 ext 2226 Office hours for phone registrations: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 1:00 – 4:00 pm Fees are due at time of registration by Visa, MasterCard, or American Express Cancellation Policy (effective May 1, 2011) Student-initiated cancellations will receive a full refund (less a $20 service fee) when cancelled at least 48 hours prior to the start time of their course. For withdrawals made within 48 hours of the course start time, no refund or credit will be issued. Full refunds are issued when the Botanic Garden cancels a course. Should the Garden cancel a course (insufficient registration, extreme weather, etc.) you will be promptly notified via email as soon as the decision is made and your money will be refunded. In the case of extreme weather, courses are considered running unless you receive notification otherwise. The Education Office is CLOSED Saturday and Sunday. Courses subject to change.
