Medical report The current state of document-related challenges in healthcare organisations Healthcare organizations are over-burdened by the growing volume of forms in use and the cost of printing, managing, storing, distributing and processing forms. Today, hundreds and thousands of forms are pre-ordered, stored, managed, distributed and processed by manual, tedious, time consuming and costly methods. The time taken to manage these document-related issues robs nursing staff of valuable time that they can spend with their patients instead.

Carbon footprint? Based upon 30% duplex usage across JPMC APAC the daily paper usage works out at 532,981 pages, or 1,066 reams. Therefore JPMC currently pays USD$2.20 for a ream totalling USD$2,345.20 per day.

The power consumed by JPMC APAC while printing each day is USD$507.85. The power consumed to produce paper = USD$1,245.68 per day by the factory itself.

20% Reduction

In February alone JPMC APAC produced approximately 761,402 printed images per day. Power consumption would compare to one 60 watt light bulb being left on for 6 years and 7 months.

Sadly, we are currently contributing towards Global Warming. Rising sea levels, glacier retreat, Arctic shrinkage, extreme weather events, an expansion of tropical diseases, and eventually a drastic economic impact.
