Rebar Splices & Equipment Dextra’s headquarters and factories are strategically located near Bangkok’s international airport and the expressway leading to the deep-sea port on Thailand’s eastern coast. They extend over 20,000 sqm of which 13,000 are covered. This building is dedicated to the production of rebar couplers, using automated, highly flexible production lines. Rebar preparation equipment is engineered and manufactured in the same facility.

Our second Bangkok facility features all modern equipment for the machining, forging and threading of high performance bars up to diameter 160 mm and ultimate tensile strength of 1,200 MPa, with a manufacturing capacity of 30,000 tons/year.
In Guangzhou, Dextra designs, develops and manufactures standard and custom-made solutions based on GFRP (Glass-fiber Reinforced Polymer) or CFRP (Carbon-fiber Reinforced Polymer) composite material. These can also be combined with steel to form hybrid products, primarily for geotechnical applications.
This facility also hosts Dextra testing laboratory, which is ISO/IEC 17025 accredited.

Mechanical splices are devices used to connect steel bars in reinforced concrete construction. Compared to the

Bartec® is the best “pound for pound” mechanical splice system on the market, featuring a guaranteed “bar-break” performance under full tensile load. Bartec not only offers the complete range of splices that may be required on-site, but also facilitates handling and stock-keeping by combining the two most common splices, the standard and the position splice (when the two bars cannot be rotated) into one product. In Europe, the system is sold under the Fortec trademark.
This ICC type 2 rolled-thread splice system requires one single machine with one operator for the bar-end preparation. Like all Dextra splice systems, it offers the full range of splice solutions (standard, position, transition, caging) and covers a large range of both metric and imperial measurements. 4

Also called “End Anchors”, they are fixed to the threaded end of reinforcement bars, producing a mechanical anchorage that serves as a convenient alternative to hooks in congested areas, especially at the edges of concrete elements. Sonic tubes Sonitec tubes are used for integrity checking of concrete piles and deep inside the steel-reinforcement cage, and offer a reservation for Crosshole Sonic Logging (CSL) probes. Sonitec are thin steel tubes with an enlarged end in a bell mouth shape. The tubes are conveniently connected by push-fit, making it a safe & reliable installation process. Ground Anchoring Solutions
Marine tie rods Tie Rods are used in port and harbour construction to anchor waterfront structures such as quay walls, berths and crane runways. Dextra’s unique range covers various steel grades from 355 to 700 N/mm2 in yield strength, and in diameters from 42 to 162 mm. Several articulated joints such as swivel plates, captive nuts and ball cage systems can be used to accommodate the project requirements. Dextra anchorages are compatible with any sheet piles profile, combi walls or concrete diaphragm walls. Dextra also supplies corrosion protection solutions and can prefabricate waling beams and fixing bolts to provide a complete anchoring system. 10

Rock & Soil Anchors Maintaining a structure on the ground or stabilizing the soil during excavation are some of the first concerns of civil engineers when starting a project. For vertical structures, cantilevered structures, underground works, tunnelling works or slope stabilisation, Dextra has an answer to all geotechnical anchorage challenges, being permanent solutions with adapted corrosion protection or temporary alternatives with fibre-polymer products.

Soft Eyes for TBMs ASTEC Soft–Eyes facilitate the penetration of TBMs (Tunnel Boring Machines) through retaining walls, using GFRP rebars. Dextra is the precursor of this technology introduced 20 years ago, and supplied over 500 Soft-Eyes to-date.
