it takes a long time to create a quality product with design integrity. this is why we don’t rush. here at j-me original design we pride ourselves on the fact that we design & manufacture original ideas. we spend a great deal of time generating emotive products that solve everyday problems. every j-me product goes through a meticulous development process which starts by researching to make sure there is no idea like ours on the market. we then generate dozens of ideas searching for that one concept that we feel is right for us. once we have the idea, we then sketch many variations of this in search of the right aesthetic & function. we then make many card & clay models, all offering something slightly different. once we narrow the product down to one idea we move to a series of 3D printed prototypes. once we are fully satisfied (typically months later) production finally begins. this whole process takes 8 – 12months but some products require far longer due to their complexity. we only ever launch products we are proud of and happy to put our name on. we hope this brief insight gives you a taste of the journey an idea goes through to become a j-me product.
