rother Rev. Dr. Terrance Grant-Malone is a sought-after
evangelist, educational facilitator, motivational and keynote speaker, and lecturer. Known for his intellectual capacity and his high-spirited, powerful preaching, Bro. Grant-Malone has spoken throughout the United States and internationally. Bro. Grant-Malone has provided ministry in diverse environments including churches schools, universities, company retreats, and prisons. Having accepted his call to ministry at the age of 15, he serves as the Pastor of the Historic St. John Missionary Baptist Church on Dowling in Houston, Texas where he preached his first sermon May 15,2005. Bro. Grant-Malone also serves as the Chaplain for Alpha Phi Alpha's Texas Council of Alpha Chapters and Southwestern Region. Bro. Grant-Malone was baptized by the late Rev. Dr. G.W. Daniels at the Sunlight Baptist Church in Beaumont, Texas. As an undergraduate at Huston-Tillotson University, he served as the College Minister at the Mount Zion Baptist Church in Austin, Texas under the leadership of Dr. G.V. Clark. He also served as the Vice President of the National Baptist Youth and Children’s Convention of America, Inc. An active faith leader, Bro. Grant-Malone has served a several organizations in various capacities. He was First President for the Fellowship United District Association (FUDA) of Texas–Congress of Christian Education, and is currently Moderator of FUDA Texas. He has also been a writer and instructor for the National Baptist Convention of America International, Inc.'s Congress and Christian Education as well as the National Director of the Youth and Children’s Convention. Bro. Grant-Malone is a contributing expositional writer in V. Michael McKay’s book of hymns, “God Talk: Sounds of a Sanctuary”. He has also produced several publications on Urban Outreach Ministry and the Role of Deacons in the local church. He wrote his first song, “Worship That Is Worthy,” with recording artist Jassette Whitaker-Simmons; and has also completed his single “Christ Our Lord” arranged by Canice Njoku. Known for his civic and community engagement, Bro. Grant-Malone has served at the request of Congresswoman Shelia Jackson Lee and former United States Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton. He also advocates for residents of Houston’s Third Ward community. Bro. Grant-Malone is a member of the Texas State Teachers Association, the National Alliance of Black School Educators, and the National Education Association. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees for Philander Smith College in Little Rock, Arkansas and Huston-Tillotson. Bro. Grant-Malone earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from Huston-Tillotson where he became a member of Alpha Phi Alpha. He went on to earn his Master of Arts and Ph.D. in Christian Education from Aspen Christian College & Theological Seminary in Denver, Colorado. Bro. Grant-Malone also studied at Lamar University and Seminario Evangélico de Puerto Rico.
