He was always a free spirit and tuned to his own beat in life. He was often seen skateboarding, roller skating and dancing through the neighborhoods. Skateboarding and dancing were things he enjoyed immensely.

Corey never met a stranger, everyone he came in contact with he connected with and they became friends. This is seen through the over 6000 friends he connected with on his social media pages and platforms. His outgoing personality and willingness to accept everyone as they are attributed to him being so well known. Many of his friends have said " everyone needs a friend like Corey." Others have said 'he was a cool loyal friend."

In 2011 he moved to Columbus Ohio. While living in Columbus, he enrolled in Ohio Media Design school, majoring in Art and Media Design. He enjoyed anything relating to anime and Japanese culture. His love for anime landed him a job every year at ComicCon Conventions across the US. Corey was creative and his artistic and creative abilities were shown through his style of dress, and artistic body art.

Corey grew up attending Salem Baptist Church of Chicago and gave his life to Christ and was baptized at the age of 12 when he became a member of New Faith Baptist Church in Matteson, Illinois. As a youth he was actively involved in church and youth ministry. He was part of the audio visual ministry and worked in the nursery.

Corey will be missed by all. His free spirit, witty sarcasm, eclectic style and personality is what made him different from anyone else.
