Mrs. Willie Mae (Scott) Williams of Youngstown, Ohio was born March 18, 1943 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to Bennie and Rosetta (Booker) Scott. Mrs. Williams passed away peacefully on March 17, 2023, with her husband James, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and sister Rebecca by her side.

Willie Mae spent most of her childhood with her parents and 12 siblings in Birmingham, Alabama, where she attended Western Olin High School. Willie Mae moved to Youngstown, Ohio in the early 1960s where she met the love of her life Mr. James Williams, Sr.

Willie Mae and James united in marriage February 22, 1962. They went on to build a family legacy raising five wonderful children, Yvonne, Lisa, James Jr., Johonn and Tiothiemme

Mrs. Williams was employed at Youngstown State University and Choffin Career Center in food service departments. She was actively involved in her children's education and participated in the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), becoming the President and later the Treasurer of the PTA at John White Elementary School, in addition to being an active member of the East High School Booster Club. She also worked at the Board of Elections in Youngstown, Ohio where she held an onsite presiding judge position. Mrs. Williams was a member of Temple Emmanuel Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Youngstown, Ohio
