LOGAN SQUARE

Neighborhood Development plan The project develops on the base of the site analysis, conducted to understand the existing coditions and identity of the neighborhood. It is important to contemplate, specifically, unique characteristics that defines a place, areas which are vibrant or asset of the community vs. areas that are poor performing and less attractive. Informed by this analysis, I was incharge of understanding and redesigning the neighborhood’s spine Benjamin Franklin Parkway. To accomplish the four goals i) reclaiming underutilized spaces ii) humanizing the scale of parkway

ii) maintaining the cultural identity and iv) priortizing pedestrians we proposed a culutral trail along the parkway. One of the strategy was reclaiming the logan square and giving it back to the community.

CALLOWHILL CUT HISTORIC RAIL PARK Site Planning

Inspired by the better Philadelphia challenge, this excerise looked at method to activate the currently under-utilized parking spaces in the city. I proposed a pragmatic, minimalistic historic trail at the callow hill cut, an abandoned rail infrastructure currently utilized as parking space. Using the idea of trail as dynamic usable public space, the historic trail/park aims as creating active and vibrant recreation space which serves a dual purpose of sharing city’s industrialization history.

The results showed that our settlement patterns are implicated in how we spend both our money and our time. Also our results show that increases in density correlate with decreases in our measure of unpleasantness.

The following project explored the relationship between misery and density in America. Based on the research by Anne Case and Angus Deaton--probing role of density in causing unhappiness, the study primarily focuses on understanding the effect of density on life outcomes, espeically spatial and social. To inform our analysis we began with an exploration of the life outcomes in United States, the ridge plot to the right shows the number of life lost across the nation.

HomeSale Price

Machine Learning & Predictive model This was a fictional client based geospatial analysis study conducted to improve the existing technology used by Zillow to predict home sale prices in Boston Accurately predicting home prices is difficult. Home prices are a function of many complex considerations including the physical characteristics, location, and other factors including seasonal variations and the personal preferences of buyers and sellers. To achieve better prediction accuracy, we collected various explanatory dataset to explain the variation in prices due to both physical characteristics of homes, and the underlying spatial patterns of prices in the region.
