Santa Run Volunteer Event Winter Grams Fundraiser

REMINDERS... Meetings are every Friday, and A&V submissions are due at the 1st of every new month!

What’s up! As 2021 came to a close, I hope we were all able to end the year well and healthy! This year may have been refreshing for some, and tiring for others. Regardless, it is a feat that we made it to the end, and that’s absolutely something to be proud of. Key Club will be back, better than ever in the incoming year! I hope you all are ready for the eventful month of January as we prepare for the new term. There is definitely a lot to look forward to! Until then, well wishes from your favorite editor (Don’t tell MJ)!

Stay Warm,

Hi Key-uties! I would like to first greet everyone a very happy new year! I’m hoping this year will be filled with a lot of new memories for our club! Even though some of us started this year rough, I know it will get better! In these times, me and the board are always here for each of you. Don’t ever hesitate to reach out if you need anything! Also I would thank you all for your continued support and dedication in Key Club. I appreciate each and everyone of you. Continue to stay safe! "No matter how difficult and hard something is, I will always be positive and smile like an idiot." ― Joshua Jisoo Hong

“Being able to assist our librarian and tech was a nice experience. We were able to prep textbooks and chromebooks with ease and efficiency, since working with everyone else made the process a lot easier!” - Jasmine Sugimoto

“At the event, we got assigned to watching the exits, and giving people directions. I was stationed with Kyle at the final exit, and we were right next to the stage of the amphitheater. The view was amazing and extremely vibrant, and we even got to talk to some of the performers before they performed.”

- Shemes Strickland

“This experience was very beautiful, since we were outside for this, it wasn't really hot outside and the sun was setting so the scenery was beautiful. And what was memorable about this is when me and my friends we're making the cards and just talking and having a good time.” - Rylee Ines

“Speaking to the kids, who were excited for Christmas, really helped my Christmas spirit. It was interesting this year how excited the kids were to talk to Santa. Overall, the experience was very rewarding.” - Kaylee May

“Fall rally was full of spirit and joy after two long years of virtual events. Everyone supported one another despite it being a cheer competition between the divisions. People continually asked How Do You Feel after the cheer event which really strengthened the sense of comradery of being in key club.” - Karen Lin

“My experience was extremely fun and rewarding. I learned how to guide traffic and answer the participants’ questions regarding directions. It was really heartwarming to see all these people come together for a cause but also have a great time doing it.” - Isabelle Ibanez

“Club day has always been a largely anticipated event in our school, and being able to represent Key Club was a fun and exciting experience. We were able to recruit many new members and tell them about everything we do. My favorite part was definitely teaching people our cheers.” - MJ Bautista

“As a boba enthusiast, I had a lot of fun organizing our boba fundraiser. I would say it was a rather successful day, since we sold out in every lunch period. It wouldn’t have been possible without the board’s amazing teamwork!” - Brandon Dadis

“Our Winter Grams fundraiser was such a wonderful way to end the year. It was so wholesome seeing people buying postcards for their friends and teachers, made specially by our cool promo committee!” - Amber Altamira
