Laser Techniques as an Approach to Experiment in Contemporary Painting Master thesis: Abstract Author: Diaa Ahmed Mohamed Ahmedien Major supervisor: Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdel Hafez Minor supervisor: Prof. Dr. Hisham Imam Hasanen Back ground: This research focuses on the chemical and physical potential laser applications on contemporary painting, like holography, engraving, and free modulation. Research Problem: The research tries to answer to two questions: - To what extent can we use laser technology in visual Art products? - can laser techniques contribute to enrich the contemporary aesthetics values in visual arts? The research importance: - The research tries to discuss and analysis one of the most important dilemma in contemporary art: the relationship the effect of the medium on the conceptualization procedures in visual arts. Research frames: The research consisted of two frames: Theoretical and Practical frames. *Theoretical Frame: Chapter I: Theoretical introduction of Laser theory and its progression historically. Chapter II: Methods of plasma production by laser, Laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS). Chapter III: The available laser applications in visual Arts historically.
