his year we've partnered with Nic Roldan and his right hand person for everything, Natascha Baecher, who are both polo players. Roldan and Baecher are one of the most committed people in philanthropy in Wellington and represent a new generation of leaders that has helped Brooke USA with sincere care and great effort. The event called Nic Roldan's Sunset Polo is possibly one of the best parties for the high season where all horse lovers come together to celebrate the beauty of Wellington. Hosted by Mark and Katherine Bellissimo, the event marks a great celebration in the Equestrian Capital of the World. We will continue bringing our luxury partners with Nic Roldan's events across the world. A special thank you to Grant Ganzi and Brandon Phillips for spending time with our photographer Nick Garcia, as well as Sandra and Lola Fiorenza, Diana Avgusta Stauer, and Angela Covert. JAGUAR RESTARTS PRODUCTION OF LEGENDARY D-TYPE RACE CAR Jaguar Classic is re-starting production of the iconic Jaguar D-type race car in Coventry, 62 years after the last example was built in 1956. The first Jaguar D-type to be assembled by Jaguar Classic, an engineering prototype, made its world debut at the Salon Retromobile show in Paris. Just 25 new examples of the D-type will be
meticulously hand-built at Jaguar Land Rover Classic Works in Warwickshire. In 1955 Jaguar planned to build 100 D-type models. With only 75 completed, Jaguar Classic is now fulfilling the company’s original ambition by creating 25 all-new, period-correct sports cars. www.jaguarusa.com

enowned jewelry designer, Margot Mckinney has just designed and created the rarest strand of South Sea Pearls in the world – Valued at 3.8 million! As the piece is extraordinarily rare, Margot has named the necklace ‘Once in a Blue Moon’, stating that “it could take up to another 10 years for a stand of such high quality and consistency to be produced”. The strand consists of 26 pearls – 18-21mm in diameter, a size that is extraordinarily rare and can only be produced in the pristine Australian waters! Only one perfectly round pearl, the pearl featured as the pendant on McKinney’s necklace, has exceeded 20mm in diameter in the past two years. Margot McKinney has a flagship store in Brisbane, Australia and her creations are available at Neiman Marcus and selected independent jewelers across the USA. TIMELESS
GIBERG HAUTE HORLOGERIE &MASTER JEWELER ANDREAS ALTMANN
CARS Primal, wild, a master of chaos, for many civilizations the dragon was symbolic of evil. For others, it was a protector or an emblem of life and power. Ahton himself symbolizes the rebirth of ancient mystical powers. His name, of Nordic origin, signifies “he who sees, he who thinks”. His creator, the Swiss artist Andreas Altmann, has be-
stowed him with powers of interior conviction founded on the knowledge of his own strength. Ahton is a masterpiece of the most exceptional craftsmanship imaginable, and a unique sculpture entirely hand-crafted by the artist and his Giberg Swiss Noble Forge team over a period of almost five years. Five kilograms of solid
gold were required to produce the mystical beast, which is studded with 7739 diamonds weighing a total of 108 carats. As if captured in action, the dragon exudes the full power of his ferocity, with the eye drawn to his gleaming armour, his outspread wings, and the phantasmagoric fire he breathes from his savage mouth.
THE ROLLS ROYCE
Silver Ghost Collection
G
o back to 1907, when the first Rolls Royce “Silver Ghost” was tested by Claude Johnson. Under the scrutiny of the Royal Automobile Club, it was driven to Bexhill and then to Glasgow, before exploring the challenging route proposed for the 1907 Scottish Reliability Trial. The motor car then completed 2,000 miles under official observation, of which 518 miles from London to Glasgow were completed using third, the direct drive top gear and fourth, the overdrive, gears only. The car was deemed a triumph. Johnson demonstrated that silence did not compromise speed, 54.95 mph were
recorded in third gear, 20 mph was the speed limit at the time. To break the world record for a ‘non-stop’ run, which stood at 7,098 miles, Johnson and Charles Rolls decreed the challenge to be increased to 15,000 miles. The Glasgow to London run was completed a staggering 27 times, and still, the engine, gearbox, rear axle and brakes showed no sign of wear. The challenge was complete, and a new world-record was set. The company’s reputation for unrivalled engineering excellence was secured. In celebration of this extraordinary feat of engineering excellence, a special collection of model year 2018 Bespoke Ghosts will be created at the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, West Sussex. Thirty-five patrons of the marque will
delight in a contemporary masterpiece of automotive history, as the Bespoke Collective of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars envisions the ‘Silver Ghost Collection’. Today, a Rolls-Royce motor car is the ultimate luxury, steeped in narrative, veiled in rarity. A Rolls-Royce Collection Car showcases the extraordinary talents of the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Design team; they are born collectables. These are future classics, destined for the lawns of the great international Concours d’Élégance.

PHILIPPA DAVIN
A unique artist Krelwear KREL’s philosophy is based in the beauty of seamless “toobular” knit design. Branching through two separate lines; one of a kind hand loomed and limited ready to wear. The one of kind line is hand loomed in our Miami atelier with a blend of yarns ranging from cottons, metallics, rayons, glow in the dark, and polyesters. Some pieces can have up to 20 varieties of yarns. The pieces are like works of art; they change and morph as they are created. www.krelwear.com Located at Ironside, 7520 NE 4th CT, Miami FL 33138

f words can describe the magnificent work of Philippa Davin, we wouldn’t be able to utter them. It’s hard to explain, but Davin has the great talent that only a few can achieve or show in their art. Her grand portfolio of art work in the photography field captures the beauty of the artist’s passion, one image at a time. Oftentimes, her creative effort stems from the love of horses, having been a rider herself. Be it a photograph in golden hues, already collected by avid horse owners in the world of Wellington, Florida, or her solemn black and white depictions focused on part of the horse face, Davin certainly knows what

she is doing. Inspired by the horses in a unique way, she can customize photo shoots with polo players, jumpers and hunters in show jumping, or simply horse lovers. She is simply unique! Her exhibit at the White Horse Restaurant at the Winter Equestrian Festival has a perfect balance that blends incredibly well, mounted on the white walls of the space. In the background, you may see the perfect greenery that warms your eyes, and you may also see several horses pass by, adding a magnificent spectacle that makes Wellington, well…the BEST! The following year they started “Our Fight Against Cancer” in her home country of Sweden. With a powerful exhibition, they raised over 1 million Swedish Kronor towards Cancer Research. e’s got dreamy eyes and a natural attitude and very confident demeanor. Nic Roldan is one of the
best polo players in the world and one of the most sought after bachelors in the country. At the age of 36, he says he is ready to enter a new phase in his life. More mature, ready to take the world by storm, his constant traveling has brought a new insight onto his life, a pre-disposition for goodness.
“I feel like there is more to do besides bringing awareness for the sport that I am most passionate about, Polo. I believe this new stage in my life is to take care of others, to guide people that have been less privileged than me. When you live in Wellington, we treat horses with the utmost care. We kind of live in a bubble. Here horses are just so important, we treat them with so much dignity. When I realized that in other countries that is not the case, it shocked me,” said the handsome polo player who was born in Argentina but raised in the town of Wellington, in South Florida.
“It shows that when people feel good, we can accomplish our goal to help the horses around the world that need help,”

His passion for riding horses was inherent. His father is the very well-known Raul Roldan, an Argentine polo player who was part of the Sultan of Brunei polo team. His mother is Dee, a beautiful woman from German descent who fell in love with Raul when she came for a visit to Wellington. Their children are Nic and daughter Lupe. As Roldan walks around The Wanderer’s Club in Wellington, a prestigious private club in Wellington, Roldan says hello to all the staff who respect and admire him. His low-key demeanor shows an uncanny elegance that translates admirably to the sport of Polo. Although he enjoys a good cocktail with family and friends, or the luxuries that this lifestyle brings, his attention is more dedicated to the sport of Polo and his horses. “I started riding when I was 2 years old. Surrounded by horses, of course it was natural that I would live this life. What people do not realize about this sport is that besides the luxury and glamorous feel it has, it can be very dangerous and demands so much training as well as being in top athletic shape. You have to wake up early in the morning, be ready to train several hours a week and get ready for competition. It’s an old and glamorous sport with so much risk, sometimes it is unimaginable,” explains Roldan, the Ambassador to Brooke USA and the Kids Cancer Foundation. “In selfish times we have to be selfless,” commented the man named one of the most eligi-

ble bachelors in the country by the prestigious Town & Country publication. As he travels all over the world, there is no sign that Roldan is planning to slow down. In fact, his new fundraising event for Brooke USA is aptly titled: “Sunset Polo & White Party”. This was the second year in a row that Roldan planned probably the most entertaining fundraiser in Wellington during the polo season. Thanks to his charitable work, he has been able to double the money raised. Now he is off to London where he will host another event at Cowdray House. “It shows that when people feel good, we can accomplish our goal to help the horses around the world that need help,” adds the leading American polo player with an impressive 8-goal handicap rating. The non-profit Brooke USA, the foundation that Roldan works on, has an interesting history which states that in 1930, the newly married wife of British cavalry officer Brigadier Geoffrey Brooke, Dorothy, arrived in Cairo. When Mrs Brooke discovered that several thousand former British war horses who had served their country bravely during World War One had been abandoned and left behind by the army

These noble animals had been sold into lives of unimaginable hardship, doomed to the lives of unending toil. From that moment on, she dedicated her life to the welfare of Egypt’s working horses and donkeys. Hence, Brooke was born and Brooke USA is their American fundraising arm. “I travel the world, I live in the most beautiful polo settings and I meet amazing people, but there is no bigger reward that the smiles of underprivileged children when they get to meet you, or to watch the horses we try to aid after toiling in tough terrain and hard weather. It’s an unparalleled feeling we must all experience and practice.” As the polo player stated, the polo game is dangerous but beautiful. His horses mean so much to him, as all the players do on the field when they play a game in the sunset.

fter amassing nearly 1 million streams and views of his new song Pick Up the Phone, Phil Crown is gearing up to release a 5 song EP, titled Desert Son. The project will be released digitally on all streaming platforms in April. The pop singer/songwriter hailing from Seattle has been excited to see his own music doing so well after writing and producing for so many artists in the Bay Area over the last 2 years. Phil listened mostly to R&B and Rap growing up and later expanded his palette to nearly every genre of popular music. “I think this EP is going to sound like a bunch of different pop genres all in one. Mainly, because I listen to everything, but also because I thought all these songs were great, but didn’t necessarily fit on my upcoming album,” due later this year. “I’d probably classify all my music so far as love-pop. All the songs I wrote for this EP and Album are about a specific moment or feeling I had about someone at a particular moment. Either when meeting someone for the first time or the way they make you feel while you’re getting to know them.” The video for Pick Up the Phone, is also getting Phil a lot of media attention. Shot in Tokyo, Japan and more of a short film than music video, Phil risks his life and saves the girl from Yakuza gangsters. Filled with fast cars, duffel bags of cash and smoking barrels the video is set to release to MTV worldwide. Check out Phil Crown and his music on YouTube, Spotify and all other streaming platforms available now.

hen you love a horse, your life depends on sharing quality time with these impressive creatures. They are animals to love, cherish, protect and feed with enormous attention. Since they were very young, Polo players Nic Roldan, Brandon Phillips and Grant Ganzi have been close to a horse, in their lives, in the sport of polo, riding them since they were children. All of them have a passion for Polo like no other, and their lives revolve around it. Playing professional polo, Nic Roldan was one of the youngest winners ever to win the US Open Polo Championship. He was just 15 years old. Today he travels the world playing the polo circuit, while being considered one of the top professional polo players in the world. Phillips is a Canadian who has been in Wellington for many years. He also plays in the higher ranks of the sport, and his talent has earned him accolades from all over the world. He also plays with passion and dreams to win the US Polo Championship one day. At a very young age, Phillips was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, something that changed his life. Doctors had given him six weeks to live, and Brandon was only 14 years old. Brandon endured five grueling months of intensive chemotherapy sessions but never lost his spirit and never accepted death as an

Grant Ganzi, the youngest of these polo players, comes from Polo Royalty in the country. His parents Marc and Melissa Ganzi are polo players themselves and considered some of the most influential people, if not the most influential when it comes to the beloved sport. They own Santa Rita Polo Farm in Wellington, where the photo shoot took place. Grant has competed in several championships and has developed a great career at a young age. He is only 20 and loves the sport. Of course, he inherited this from his parents who live and breathe polo. The horses in this photo shoot are Afgana, Kimen and Pepa

They both live in Miami and belong to a family of influential philanthropists as well. Sandra and her husband Randy Fiorenza met in Fisher Island in 1998, and have been together since then, they have three beautiful daughters. Lola started riding at seven, and now competes in the “Saddle Seat” sport, which she loves. They go to Ocala, Gainesville, Daytona, Perry in Georgia, Lexington in Kentucky and Oklahoma City for the national championship. She loves her Arabian horses and has an impressive talent to ride the horse and compete at a strong level. Her mother believes that the sport makes her daughter strong, disciplined and happy. Sandra is also involved in the real estate industry in Miami, has developed an impressive career advising, selling and buying property and now has several properties in the market. She is also a marketing consultant which is something her family worked at in Germany. Once she came to the United States, she fell in love with the warmth of the city of Miami. The weather, the beauty of her surroundings, and then established herself with Randy to raise a beautiful family. Besides Lola they have 14 year-old twins, Camilla y Caprina. They live in Gables Estates and travel constantly due to their hectic schedules. The model is a former beauty queen from Siberia, Diana Avgusta Stauer. A Power Couple in the Show Jumping Field PH OTOGRA PH Y BY NIC K GA RC IA
- When did you start jumping and why? I started riding when I was 6 years old. My mother was a rider and always had a very strong passion and love for horses and for the sport. - Explain what Showjumping is about Equestrian jumping is basically a sport which involves a horse and rider jumping over a specific pattern or course of obstacles within a designated time allowed. The jumps or obstacles can vary in height and width immensely depending on the level of competition, from 0.50m all the way up to 1.60 in height and 2 metres in width. Each competition will have a different pattern or course that has been designed specifically for it. It originated in the countryside, and still has elements from it like water jumps, gates and walls, the obstacles that were found on hunting. The goal is to complete the course without any penalties in the fastest time. Penalties occur from either knocking down jumps, from a horse refusing to jump a particular jump or for exceeding the time allowed for that specific course. - You are in a very prestigious catalogue of riders, tell me about it… I am very fortunate to be able to compete and train amongst some of the best riders in the world on a regular basis, especially here in Wellington. I would have to say that staying in the upper level is every bit as hard as getting there. It is a constant challenge and struggle. It’s not enough to just be a good rider, and to work hard. You must also have great horses, as well as a strong team of support people such as owners and sponsors. - How did you meet your husband? We met many years ago at a Just World International fundraiser during a competition. - Why is he so good in what he does? Gui is a fantastic course designer and for sure one of the best there is. I think the fact that he started out as a rider, as well as a veterinarian himself gives him the ability to really appreciate what he is demanding of the horses and riders. He also has a natural talent for both the technical and creative aspects of course design and is one of the most detail-oriented people I have ever met! His courses are usually quite challenging but always fair. - Gui, can you describe Angela’s style Her riding style is modern and precise, always with the horse welfare in her mind. Her personal style is a beautiful mix of classy and sexy - Why did you become a designer? I’ve rode up to Juniors back in Brazil , and always was involved with the sport. I graduated as a veterinarian and practiced for 8 years with sport horses, while starting on course design. All of these types of water are actually aging you faster and are adding to the acid load on the body.

very body begins it’s journey with the same joining of two cells and every body comes to the same inevitable end. However, the shape, look and quality of that body is highly dependant upon it’s possessor. Diet, exercise, stress, love, purpose, passion and the like all have a tremendous impact on one’s quality of life. It is not new information that we have a great deal of control over our health and the quality of our life. People are becoming more and more aware of eating healthy, the importance of exercise and the need to reduce stress, but what about water? Do you think the quality of the water you drink affects your health? We are approximately 75% water and so it is actually extremely important to pay attention to the kind of water we are putting into our body. Imagine your body as a fishbowl and the fish in that bowl as your organs, tissues and cells. If you put in acidic water that is full of chemicals into that fish bowl then how healthy are the fish going to be? Instead we want to fill that tank with the best water possible so that those fish can thrive and live a long, healthy and happy life. Treat your body to the very best and your cells and tissues will thrive.

Acidosis
Acidosis occurs when your body fluids contain too much acid. When we are born we are slightly alkaline except for a few places like in the stomach and on the skin. The blood must stay between a ph of 7.34 and 7.44 and there is a buffering system in the body that works to keep the blood in the correct range. If the blood goes out of that range we die, so the body will actually sacrifice itself to keep the blood from becoming too acidic. It does this by pulling what it needs from the tissues and bones of the body. We function optimally when consuming a diet that is 80% alkaline and 20% acidic. The problem is that we have flipped that and are consuming way too much acidic foods and drinks. Not to mention that stress, intense exercise and air travel cause high levels of acid in the body. It is not difficult to see that the majority of the north American population is acidic. The few that aren’t are usually Vegan and are very strict in the foods they consume. Dr. Theodore Baroody talks about the 3 stages of acidosis in his book “Alkalize or Die”. Here are a few from his list: n Beginning Acidosis Symptoms: Acne, Muscular pain, Cold hands and feet, Low energy, Joint pains that travel, Food allergies, Pre-menstrual and menstrual cramping, Lack of sex drive, Bloating, Heartburn, Diarrhoea, Constipation, Mild headaches, Excess Head mucus, Metallic taste in mouth n Intermediate Acidosis Symptoms: Cold sore, Depression, Loss of memory, Loss of concentration, Migraine headaches, Insomnia, Asthma, Bronchitis, Hay Fever, Ear Aches, Hives, Viral infections (cold, flu), Bacterial Infections (staph, strep), Fungal infections (candida albicans, athlete`s foot, vaginal), Impotence, Urinary infection, Psoriasis, Stuttering n Advanced Acidosis Symptoms: Crohn’s disease, Schizophrenia, Learning Disabled, Hodgkin`s Disease, Systemic Lupus Erythematosis, Multiple Sclerosis, Sarcoidosis, Rheumatoid arthritis, Myasthenia Gravis, Scleroderma, Leukaemia, Tuberculosis, All other forms of cancer

Oxidation - the aging process
When a molecule looses an electron it becomes unstable. This is what we call a free radical. That free radical needs to stabilize itself and to do so must rob an electron from another molecule or cell. That cell then is missing an electron and has to rob an electron from another cell. This chain reaction is what is called “oxidation.” Oxidation is the ageing process. It shows itself as wrinkles, disease, inflammation, etc. Most of us have heard of free radicals and know that they are bad but don’t really understand why. This is why. They create a chain reaction in the body that makes us get older and sicker faster. From the above simplified explanation we can see how wonderful it would be to stop this process. We can do this by getting an abundance of negative electrons into the body to neutralize free radicals and stop the chain reaction from starting and/or continuing. You will have heard that antioxidants are very good for you and that you should get lots of them. There are different forms of antioxidants and the one we are focusing on here is that negative electron. The water featured in this article has an incredibly high amount of negative electrons in it and therefore is very anti aging. For example, we know that blueberries are very high in antioxidants. You would have to eat 5 lbs of blueberries to get the antioxidants in one to two glasses of this water. You cannot eat enough good fruits and vegetables in a day to equal the antioxidants you will get through drinking 8 glasses of this water.
Do you see how incredibly powerful this is?
Most disease and health issues that people have are preventable. If the body is 75% water it makes perfect sense that we can make the biggest impact on optimizing our health by have that water be the highest quality possible. But the majority of the population does not have access to this water that occurs in Lordes and Tclote. Thankfully technology has been developed to produce this water at the touch of a button so anyone who desires to have it is able to. A 45 year old company, Enagic, has invented a unit that simply hooks up to the kitchen faucet and utilizing electricity (think lightning!) creates this “miracle” water. The water is known by a few different names which include “electrolysed reduced water,” “Hydrogen Rich Water,” and “Ionized alkalized water.” Not only that but the unit produces three drinking waters with a low, medium and high amount of antioxidants in the water so you can work your way up and experience a more gradual detox. There is also a beauty water that will replace all facial toners, a 2.5 acidic water (hypochloros Acid) that works as a disinfectant and a 11.5 strong alkaline water that emulsifies oil and removes the pesticides off your fruits and vegetables. Through this amazing technology we can replace most cleaners in the home, get rid of many chemicals that are used, effectively clean our fruits and vegetables, reduce waste incurred through bottled water and cleaner bottles, and experience incredible health benefits from drinking the highly anti aging water. Kangen water for your horse - Excerpts taken from an interview with Jeff Jensen (Equine Expert)
N
aturally enhance you and your horses performance by drinking Kangen water. As Jeff looked at diets of the horses he was working with it was easy to see that they weren’t eating as well as people caring for them. He tried supplements with them and his studies led him to be exposed to water and importance of water for optimum health. He explains that the horses are very dehydrated and the horses are having problems with absorption and utilization of water and nutrients. The horses have a very strong preference for Kangen water and actually drink larger amounts of water when given Kangen rather than regular water. “Once you see your horses drink the water and how they start performing on this water, you’ll be a believer. This is an affordable solution. In it’s first year, the savings on medication and supplements alone paid for the machine.” Jeff Jensen - Equine Expert Overall the performance of horses drinking Kangen water improves. Jeff says that this water has a better effect on his horses than the medications that have to be continually replaced. It has almost a steroid or muscle growth effect. It increases the rate of recovery. It decreases some of the soreness aspects because those tissues can be hydrated and oxygenated. Because of the water’s micro-clustering it is absorbed 6 times faster than regular water. The horse is getting an enormous amount of antioxidants and mineral buffers. This water can replace much of the drug therapies that have been pushed on the thoroughbreds. There was a study done in Japan on a dairies. They switched the water from tap water to Kangen water. The milk production increased 28%. The quality of the milk improved. The maturation rate of the calves increased dramatically. They gained weight on the same amount of feed. Their skin and coat condition improved. They had increased mineralization and stronger legs. They have less inflammation, less disease. Less utter infections.
For horses and dogs. You are dramatically increasing their nutrient absorption and utilization rate far in excess in what you can provide for them in a supplement and a pill. This is not just a filter. It is creating a water that is super high in Antioxidants, molecular hydrogen and which alkalized and oxygenates the body. Owning your own Kangen unit has an ability to significantly reduce costs. Injuries, cuts, bruises, infections, internal problems can all be addressed by one of the 7 kinds of water that are produced from the Kangen water machine. All of the common strep, staph and fungal infections can be easily addressed with the 2.5 Kangen water without using chemicals. You can treat as a first aid or a follow up procedure from a surgery. This has an amazing application to horses feet by soaking the feet in the 2.5 for about 15-30 minutes and will do wonders for the cleaning up of fungus, quarter crack, thrush and others issues that happen with the feet. It is also great for dealing with cuts, scrapes and insect bites so they do not get infected. The water is also excellent for washing the horse. If you use the 11.5 strong Kangen water it is better than soap and won’t strip the skin of it’s natural sebum and won’t leave any chemicals which can leave the horse itchy. Then you can rinse with 6.0 beauty water which restores the ideal skin ph and repels dust. You can eliminate most of your cleaning and hoof dressing products. An animal that is dehydrated, acidic is not going to recover very quickly. Disease doesn’t grow in alkaline oxygen rich tissue. Speers states that you can cut your supplement bill in half by adding Kangen water into your program. You can eliminate most of the anti inflammatory and joint lubricant products because the water adds a very significant dimension to the arthritis and flexibility problems. 19,000 vine-growing producers, Champagne is a topic you could devote your life to understanding. Most of us just want to be able to order a good bottle, when the occasion requires or the mood arises. To help you navigate the bubbles, so to speak, here are my three favorite Champagnes, each at a different price point.

Dom Pérignon
Champagne
Wishes
Dom, as it is casually referred, is produced by the Champagne house Moët & Chandon and is their prestige cuvée. It is named after a Benedictine monk who, contrary to popular legend, did not invent Champagne, however, made numerous advances in Champagne making. This is def-initely a special occasion bottle for most. One sip and you will understand why, in most restau-rants in Miami including mine, a bottle of Dom Perignon will list for about $250-$500 depending on the vintage.
Veuve Clicquot In 1772, Philippe Clicquot-Muiron founded the house which would eventually become, Veuve Clicquot. Madame Clicquot is credited with helping to create the riddling rack, which helped make mass production possible. A bottle of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label is an excellent bottle of Champagne at a moderate price, say $100-$200 depending on the vintage. A bottle of Yellow Label is perfectly suitable for most of life’s Champagne moments.

elixir, visiting the world’s iconic Champagne houses and curating wine lists for hotels and restaurants, including my own, I’ve come to realize that Champagne is not only meant for society’s upper crust. Nor is it only for special occasions. In fact, from a food pairing standpoint, few beverages match Champagnes versatility. It’s easily enjoyed with everything from pheasant to fried chicken. Don’t get me wrong, there is a profound difference between a prestige cuvée and and the custom-labeled bottle that was on the table at your niece’s wedding. With over 100 Champagne houses and over
Tattinger is a famous Champagne house established in 1734. Due to its size and a number of other factors, Tattinger, which was briefly acquired by a US corporation but later bought back by the Tattinger family, is able to offer their Champagnes at reasonable prices. Taittinger Brut La Francaise is a very good Champagne, receiving 90 ratings from both Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast. You will see it on most wine lists for about $60-$80. That makes this my pick for your Tuesday night “I feel like bubbles” selection. So, if you haven’t ordered a bottle of bubbly in some time, do so tonight and remember the words of Mark Twain,” Too much of anything is bad, but too much Champagne is just right.”

or Lamberto Frescobaldi, 30th generation President of one of the most iconic Tuscan wineries, it is a matter of sharing one’s own passions: “the beautiful thing about motorcycle and wines is that to fully enjoy them, you must share them with friends. I love to get together with few friends for a great Enduro ride in the fields just as I love to open a lovely aged bottle of wine and share it with friends.” Lamberto Frescobaldi has always been a motorcycle enthusiast. His passion born from an uncle who had become a famous diver in the 50’s. Though deeply involved and dedicated his own life to the wine business, Lamberto rides motorcycle professionally. “I drive a KTM 1190R Adventure and an Enduro BETA 300 RR, 2 Strokes. I race, and even though I never won a prize, I have always had a lot of fun!” The areas around the Frescobaldi estates, as well as the whole Tuscany, lend themselves to be ridden on and off road, he explains: “all of our estates are touched by lovely roads. With a street bike I‘d suggest to drive from Florence to our Nipozzano and Pomino estates and arrive to a village called Consuma and then up to La Verna.”
Laudemio 2018 marks 30 years since the Laudemio Consortium was founded and today it is composed of 21 producers of pure Tuscan extra virgin olive oil. Well ahead of European legislation, the producers in Florence signed this pact to ensure the excellence in the olive oil production. Since then, Laudemio Olive Oil has won many awards and graced the tables of connoisseurs throughout the world. Laudemio has also created its own set of regulations to ensure that only the highest quality extra virgin olive oil is produced. Laudemio producers represent 5,680 acres of land dedicated to olive oil cultivation, equal to about 100,000 olive trees. The total production is approximately 72 tons of olive oil. During a lunch in New York, the press was able to enjoy the delicious recipes made with Laudemio extra virgin olive oil. The product is simply delicious and is made to perfectly preserve the details that makes it the finest expression of authentic extra virgin olive oil.
