MULTI-FAMILY HOUSING | FALL 2019 | SARAH WILLMER
Layered with decades of political and socio-economic complexities, San Francisco’s housing crisis lacks one definite solution. In response, this studio explores three new housing prototypes that increase density and address its environment. Among the three, the assigned “townhouse” acts as a transition from the apartments to the single-family houses by retaining elements from both: mixed-units and private garden space. It has a total of 10 units from studios to 4 This project was selected for CED Circus 2020 4

NEW URBAN SCENARIOS FOR VETERANS URBAN DESIGN | SPRING 2020 | PETER ZELLNER
In contrast to the city’s increase in homeless Veterans, the V.A. Campus in West Los Angeles is currently undeveloped and unpopulated. The studio aims to address these issues by proposing a master plan that envisions the revitalization of the campus by focusing on housing and the needs of the Veterans. This results in the analysis of four main factors: zoning, green space, circulation, and infrastructure.

INTERIOR DESIGN | FALL 2019 | D-SCHEME STUDIO
This project is the interior renovation of a commercial store into a dim sum restaurant. With the guidance of the princiapl and the input of the client, the designs of the Banquet Room and the Bar Display are based on Chinese influences to heighten the restaurant’s identity. Traditional elements, such as wooden frames and medicinal cabinet, are transformed into modern translations that complement the client’s wishes. 10

URBAN DESIGN COMPETITION | SUMMER 2020 | ZELLNERandCOMPANY
With the intention to advance Chicago, the Burnham Plan presented a strategy to address the city’s unregulated development. However, this resulted in a system that integrated communities as much as segregated them. This project thus proposes a transformation of Burnham’s Plan and its systems to mend the broken connections of Chicago’s urban fabric by focusing on resource equity and resiliency in South Chicago. Team: Peter Zellner (Principal), Alex He (Designer) 12
