EconomicDevelopment Branding: Advertising Your Area by Kim Picket t As a smaller town or city, it can be difficult to stand out. You know that your home has unique cultural, social, recreational and environmental opportunities, but communicating these to the rest of the province or country can be a tough task. The solution to this issue is an economic

development campaign. This will help to create unified messaging and imagery for your town or city. Creating, executing, advertising, and reporting on this central theme is the best way to gain recognition in the minds of the public, and inspire people about the possibilities of living, working,

and playing in your town or city. KIMBO has award-winning experience creating economic development campaigns for Prince George and Kootenay, so we understand what factors help separate the good economic development branding from the bad.

After 17 years of high-level artistic gymnastics, and four years of studies in Physics and Sports activities at the University of Orsay, Paris XI, Karine takes off for Montreal to join the troupe Cirque du Soleil and his new show, La Nouba, which is scheduled to perform in Orlando, Florida. Karine is particularly distinguished in the number of power track and trampoline, which is the highlight of the show. One thousand five hundred shows and four years later, Karine decides to take another flight to Hollywood to start a new career and become a stuntman. She quickly joined the most illustrious film sets and worked alongside the biggest stunt coordinators, actors and directors (Steven Spielberg, Robert Zemeckis, Night Shyamalan to name only the biggest). She was invited to join the very selective United Stuntwomen's Association. After six years spent on the plateaus, she returns to her native country with her husband Jade Kindar-Martin , tightrope walker . They now have two children, and Karine continues to work all over the world as a cascadeuse and circus artist. She has just founded an artistic cottage in the South of France at the Mas Pinet where she spends happy days with her husband and two children. You can see her demo on youtube: Karine Mauffrey

I am married to Detroit Lions Defensive Line Coach Kris Kocurek. We have a 2-year-old puppy named Charlie and live in Plymouth, Michigan. I work for Michigan Head and Spine Institute in Novi, Michigan as a medical records clerk. Kris and I are currently trying to have a baby but due to all of my treatment we are praying for a miracle. Your whole world is turned upside down in one diagnosis, and everything that you were doing and planning is put on hold while you fight to survive. It literally becomes your number one focus, between treatment and doctors and how you are going to overcome it. Now being a survivor, it means reaching out to others, promoting early detection, being someone?s ray of hope and helping others through the toughest times they will ever endure, by sharing my story.

Let your guard down, it is OK to cry sometimes and be scared but don't let it own you. Get involved with other women who are going through the same things you are ? support groups online and through your cancer center, walks, any kind of fundraisers and activities that involve other survivors. Surround yourself with love, hope and God, that will get you through. It?s also very important to ask what type of cancer you have to make sure you're getting the proper treatment. Women, be aware of your bodies and never think you're too young! Breast cancer isn't just ?breast cancer ??

? there are several different types, and each one is treated very differently. I had no idea of that when I was diagnosed. I thought breast cancer was breast cancer and that was it. Oh, the things I didn't know and now that I do I want to share with others. Ladies, early detection, researching your kind of cancer, and being aware of your body, those are the most important things. Do not wait around if you feel the smallest lump, nipple discharge, or any other abnormality. Wom en Wh o Rock w it h Su ccess: How can t h e r eader s con n ect an d f ollow you ? I am all about social media. Facebook is my main outlet. I did share my entire journey through Facebook. Why Social Media? There are 100 billion searches a month on google. What happens when someone googles your business? How will they find you and what will they see? Facebook currently has 1.65 billion users and growing every day.. There are 500 million tweets sent a day. 77 % of people say they felt better about a brand if the brand responded on twitter. 78 % of people who complain to a brand on twitter expect a reply within an hour. 80 % of twitter users have mentioned a brand in a tweet. There are 400 million monthly active users on Instagram. Where were you when they mentioned your brand on twitter? Were you there engaging? Or did you miss it? You can't afford to miss the conversation. The conversation is happening every day. You need to be part of it.

Social media is one of the best ways to market your product or business. But what if you are not sure where to start? What if your efforts all turn out to be a waste of time? Fortunately, there are a number of things you can do to increase your chances of success. Here are 3 social media tips to enhance your marketing efforts. M ak e You r Br an d Relat able t o You r Au dien ce Instead of trying to sell your audience a business or product, aim to make them feel like they are part of a community. If you sell women?s lipstick, for example, you might consider sharing blog posts like ?What Makes a Great First Kiss? or ?How to Make Your Lips Stand Out in Selfies.?

Give your followers a reason to keep coming back to your social media pages for more! For ideas on how to make your brand relatable, be sure to research similar brands to see how they are making themselves. This can help you figure out what your target audience is used to. Rem em ber Th at Ever y Social M edia Net w or k is Dif f er en t A big mistake that many people make when it comes to social media marketing is assuming that what works on one social media network will work on every social media network. This simply isn?t true. Every social media network is different, so it?s important to tailor each post to the social media network you use for marketing. For example, you may have a lot success by using the right hashtags on Twitter, but this might not work as well on Facebook. It?s important to pay attention to what others are doing on each social network and use that to develop your social media marketing strategy. Use URL Sh or t en er s t o Tr ack You r Pr ogr ess While many people will recommend you to judge your progress based on the number of ?Likes? and shares your content gets, this doesn?t really tell you for sure if your efforts are paying off. Consider using an URL shortener, such as bit.ly, to track your progress. This will help tell you if your links are getting any clicks and, just as importantly, where they are coming from. This can help you better determine what types of posts are working and what social media networks you might want to consider focusing more attention on. These are just 3 social media tips to enhance your marketing efforts. It?s important to be open to trying out new things and be willing to adapt, since social media is always changing!
