Except as indicated for summer, all uniforms shown are formal winter uniform.
Primary School Girls (K-2) 1. Formal Winter Uniform (Wednesdays & Thursdays - other days as instructed) • Box pleated tunic Black Watch plaid jumper—must be princess style (Note: The PS jumper is available at Schoolbelles and Rhedhöuse only, not at Lands End) • White, long or short sleeved round collar blouse with or without navy piping • Monogrammed navy or forest green, buttoned or zippered, cardigan sweater (optional) • Navy, forest green or black opaque, non-textured tights or knee highs or plain white ankle socks, must be over the ankle and visible above shoes • Black, brown or navy loafer, Mary Jane or tie-style shoes (no shoes with heels in excess of 2 inches) rubber-soled, non-scuff shoes, please 2. Informal Winter Uniform (Mondays, Tuesdays & Fridays) • Same as formal winter uniform, with the option of wearing: • Navy school sweatshirt (available from the SHS bookstore) • Khaki “Docker style” slacks (NO cargo pants) • Black Watch plaid slacks 3. Summer Uniform (September, May & June) • Navy walking shorts (not to be more than 2 inches above the knee) with or without cuffs (NO skirts or cargo shorts) • Dark belt if shorts have belt loops (optional in Kindergarten) • White, short sleeved polo shirt (to be worn tucked-in) • School sweatshirt (available from the SHS bookstore) • White socks, must be visible above shoes • Gym shoes should be plain, mostly solid-colored with no wheels, lights, heels, sequins, or similar embellishments; high-tops not permitted. 4. Out-of-Uniform Day (First Friday of every month, except in September, May & June) • No t-shirts with inappropriate messages • No ripped or torn clothing • No sweatpants or shorts unless approved by Division Head • Modest dress: no shoulders, no stomachs or thighs exposed • No clogs or backless shoes 5. Gym Uniform • Gym shoes to be kept at school (athletic shoes with support, no ked-type sneakers or high tops, please) • Students may wear navy or black fleece pants with or without the Sacred Heart logo under their uniform jumpers when the weather is cold, before and after school at recess only. • Shorts (any type) may be worn under jumpers for gym activities. • No pajama flannels (and no other type of sweat pants) allowed.

Middle School Girls (6-8) 1. Formal Winter Uniform (Wednesdays & Thursdays - other days as instructed) • Kick-pleat Black Watch plaid skirt, no more than 2” above the knee (no exceptions) • Classic full-length body and sleeve navy blazer (non-Bolero style) with Academy patch emblem (emblem is available from the SHS bookstore) • White long or short sleeved cotton-blend, button-down, Oxford cloth type shirt • Navy, forest green or black opaque, non-textured solid tights or knee socks • Black, brown or navy loafer, Mary Jane or tie-style shoes with solid heels, rubbersoled, non-scuff shoes preferred. Shoes should bear no label. (No shoes with heels in excess of 2 inches and no moccasin or canvas-type shoes) Should a student have a doctor’s note requiring that tennis shoes be worn, the shoes must be dark in color, e.g. black, brown or navy. 2. Summer Uniform (September, May & June) • Navy walking shorts (not to be more than 2 inches above the knee) with or without cuffs (NO skirts or cargo shorts) • Dark belt if shorts have belt loops with no words or logos • White, short sleeved polo shirt without logos (to be worn tucked-in) • Navy school sweatshirt (available from the SHS bookstore) • White ankle socks - must be visible above shoes • Gym shoes should be plain, mostly solid-colored with no wheels, lights, heels, sequins or similar embellishments; high-tops not permitted. Top siders and boat shoes are permitted. 4. Out-of-Uniform Day (First Friday of every month, except in September, May & June) • No t-shirts with inappropriate messages • No ripped or torn clothing • No sweatpants or shorts unless approved by Division Head • Modest dress: no shoulders, no stomachs or thighs exposed • No clogs, backless shoes or sandals (these are a safety issue, esp. in Science) • Leggings, if worn, must be worn with a top that reaches 2” above knees 5.
