How to use the motorcycle clutch for beginners

How to use the motorcycle clutch for beginners I always find that some drivers put their left hand on the clutch hand shank when they use the clutch, sometimes all grip, sometime half grip, rearly shift. Friction need to be replaced caused by unproper operation. In fact, the operation of hand clutch and automatic clutch is different. For hand clutch motorcycles, we should grip the handlebar by left hand, and grip the accelerator by the right hand, keep eyes straight ahead, prepare to braking, if in need, use front and rear brake together. We grip the braking handle by right hand, meanwhile, grip the clutch handle by left hand. Usually, we use clutch during start, shifting gears, and stop motors. If you want to pause a seconds for a while, just use the clutch. However, if the pause time is a bit long, we should idle the motor or park it. This operation can extend the lifespan of friction and decrease the fuel consumption. The automatic clutch motorcycles are more difficult to master compared to hand clutch ones. The key to drive the hand clutch motorcycle is to step slowly when left hand loosen the clutch handle. If we step after shift immediately when driving automatic clutch motors, it feels bad. However, after you shift gears, wait a seconds, and then you step, it will avoid vehicle race ahead. You can master it after practice for many times. In conclusion, unproper operation of the clutch can add friction wear, and cause the slipping of clutch, then resulting in engine overheating, power drop, increasing fuel consumption etc. It shows that it is very important to operate clutch correctly.
