sogni d’oro youth hostel Urban Hostel in Milan
Sogni d’oro hostel has born as a result of the requalification process at porta genova station where the unused train tracks were located. The project has a multi-scalar approach, ranging from urban scale to the interior one. The urban approach
considers a reinterpretation of nature, similar to the one of Montestalla, where atificial hills propose a novel natural igredient in dialogue with the systems of squares in front of two buildings. The main body is designed to appear as an engraved stone mass where big loggias are present especially at the south facade. The building has two courtyards of different characteristics which define spaces of diffent functions within the building. The hostel is in relation with the art gallery at the south edge of the urban system as it proposes an “interactive strip” along its eastern facade where small exhibitions take place.

biennale giardini Swiss Pavilion, Biennale di Venezia
The project aims to achieve a re-use of the pavilion especially during the winter period where biennale exhibitions are absent. Assuming an integration of all
pavilions, the intervention tries to revitalize this crucial artistic node of the city for a continuous use. The intervention departs from a deep analysis of the pavilion and adopts an interesting approach engendered from the prototyping process which is strictly related to the architectural character of the Swiss Pavilion.
MAPPING
closed open
Dominance of outdoor places
Presence of a covering
Enclosure by the brick walls
Concrete slabs of semi-open areas
The architectural elements of the pavilion include interesting roofing elements, skylights, concrete slabs suported with steel columns and enclosing brick walls. The most characteristic aspect is the free and open plan of the pavilion where spaces become fluid
During the design process, the concept for the prototyping is engendered purely from the architectural characteristics and elements of the Swiss pavilion, mostly concentrating on the blending of spaces in the various parts of the pavilion. Establishing a continuous spatial experience is therefore the main aim of the project, as well as a strict connection with nature..
Load Bearing Structure Load Transmitting Structure Self Supported Structure
The second part consists of the prototyping which aims to abstract an image twice combining the spatial qualities of the abstracted image and the pavilion. This abstration is then translated to new volumes

san siro make-over Social Housing Retrofit in Milan
San Siro make-over is a retrofitting project which has born from a deep case study analysis mainly in Europe. It considers the neighborhood where a dominance of low-income immigrants is present along with other resident
profiles. The project aims to refurbish the interior quality of the courtyard building in Via Abbiati, which was built at the end of fhe 30’s. The main concern of the project was a typological one, since the majority of the apartments do not fit the current domestic needs nor regulations. Furthermore, the presence of large families of low incomes represent an overcrowding of the small apartments drastically reducing the overall life quality. The intervention also considers an improvement of energy use and low-cost climate solutions mainly in the facade.
Retrofit considers mainly an extention of the whole building towards the courtyard with a new steel grid and expansion of the apartments merging existing typologies. For this regard, the intervention of the roof plan was crucial to increase both the size of the existing apartments and to provide novel units for new residents to come. Typologies vary in shape and size, ranging from studio apartments to shared family apartments for a broad range of users including students, immigrant families and young adults. The intervention proposes homes for 100 new residents, and reuses the empty corner apartments.

The brick structure is exposed at the living area to keep the inital memory of the neighborhood and it is combined with OSB panels as finishings.

FACADE PACKAGE IN DETAIL
The panelling of the facade is greatly engendered form the sun orientation and a detailed shadow analysis during summer and winter to guarantee different solutions for each floor. In fact, Perforated prefabricated panels vary in their permeability through the building allowing less or more sun and air.
zefiro sports complex Addition to PoliMI Bovisa Campus, Milan
ZEFIRO sports complex suggests a lightweight, sustainable, modular and reversible solution for the Bovisa Campus of PoliMI. The whole structure is designed to be easily assembled and dismantled in the case of need, therefore respects
the land without making a permenant impact on the building site. The structure is born from a modular and prefabricated concept favoring major elements such as cable beams, containers majorly utilizing materials such as steel and textile. The whole complex includes open air activities at its central square such as a skatepark and a climbing wall, along with temporary student residences provided with two major sports buildings hosting a swimming pool, basketball and volleyball courts and a restaurant underneath a unique roof.

Rennovation of an artisan complex in Milan
H0fA consists of a rennovation project for the the building in Via Cazzaniga, Moscova district. The building dates to the last century, it was first opened 110 years ago, however it was abandoned for long time. The project forsees a rennasissance
of the iconic building, providing a fulcrum of mixed use, including temporary residential use, different typologies of ateliers, spaces of exbition-workshop, a conference room and a small bar/bistrot. The privacy level of the building increases going up the floors, therefore the characteristics of the environments change in each floor, providing flexible environments for various uses. The concept of the house is reinvented, becoming more of an interactive co-living space for national and international artists where they can live-work-exhibit at the heart of the city. The real-life project has been executed by Arassociati.
The project introduces various modules for each floor, starting with the modules of exhibition, mini-ateliers and mini-living respectively for each floor. The aim is to provide maximum
flexibility, proposing an innovative way of coliving and working, since all the modules provide the opportunity to combine and separate various activities depending on the preference of artists.

The project site is located in a small village in Sardegna, famous for its crystal blue shores. The intervention consists of a refurbishment of the villa and its garden, along with a detailed design of the added volume, dedicated to the kitchen, where a transparency between two gardens of different typologies is present. 13.66
