Kids Cooking Class

DESCRIPTION

Our thematic cooking classes are designed to give kids a hands on experience in creating something delicious in the kitchen. Kids will work together to make recipes while learning basic cooking skills. A cultural twist from around the world will be incorporated into each class.

Little Cooks

Safety City

LOCATION: West River Ice Center 1865 Empire Rd

DEADLINE: June 14

FEE: $45/per session

DESCRIPTION

Sponsored in part by the Kiwanis Club. Children will practice “real life” safety situations in a miniature “city” and have fun learning about safety in the following areas: Pedestrian and bicycle safety, railroad crossings, animal safety, electrical safety, school bus safety, stranger danger, seat belts, pool safety, calling 911, as well as farm safety and what to do in an emergency situation. Special guests from the community will make appearances to demonstrate the safety topics addressed each day.

DESCRIPTION

The only class that you can play with your food! Food Art is a fun way to try new foods and be creative with snacks for your littles.

DESCRIPTION

We will introduce your child to a variety of activities from sports, to active games, fitness activities and nutrition education. Learn how to be a team player while building new athletic skills. Please wear tennis shoes, comfortable active clothing (adaptable for weather) and bring a water bottle.
