But the young squad, led b y John Butterfield, edged M ino t, 79-72, in th e ir best gam e o f 19 6 1. The team's most decisive v ic to ry was the 95-65 walloping th e y handed the Jam estown C o lleg e five. The "S a vag es" scored an average o f 78 points p er game, while th e ir opponents rang up a to ta l o f just o ver 70 fo r each contest. D S C ’s F O R E IG N STUDENTS Asia, Europe, and Latin A m erica were represented at D S C this year. Four foreign students gave our student b od y the chance to hear about education abroad and in our own hemisphere. Rudy Chiam had com pleted his college education in Indonesia and then worked in W e st G e rm a ny before com ing fo D S C . A g n e s Cysouw, from Ufrecht, The Netherlands, also com pleted her college in Holland before com ing to Am erica. Both students came to learn the ways of the Am erican educational system. Consuela Aram bula, a native of M onterey, Mexico, had taught in Mexico,'s elementary schools prior to her stay at D S C . She plans to work for her Bachelor o f Science degree in elementary education. The only freshman of the grou p was Joanna Zee, who came to D S C from H o n g Kong, China. M iss Z ee is hoping to remain at our college for four years in order to obtain her Bachelor of Science degree.
