The Thirty-first annual Hilltop Holiday w as held in the Stickney Auditorium, Janu ary 25-27. Rik W alter, a senior, directed the four performances. In a perform ance that show casted outstand ing individual talent. Hilltop '86 will probably best be rem em bered as having confusion as the m ain focal point in place of the local talent. Three m ain them es ran throughout the show. First, there w as the street scene which w as start ed by the opening acts. Second, there w as the variety show which could be found in the skits. DICKINSON STATE COLLEGE ADMINISTRATION AND FACULTY

W hen this yearbook is opened, I feel if will bring back to mem ory the 1986 school year. Dickinson State College w ill hold m any memo ries that you dream ed of: joys and sorrows, the thoughts of dreaded exam s, friends you have m ade and rem ember, and the heights you have reached. The 1986 Prairie Smoke yearbook is our record of the past ye ar in pictures and brings back m emories of w hat w as, and of w hat can never be again . Perhaps this yearbook can, in future years, help to rekindle old and fond recollections of yesterday. My special thanks to all who helped with this volum e and especially to Doug Fettig, photographer: Gordon W eixel, Student Affairs; and Mr. M cFadgen, Advisor . . . May God bless you in 1987.
