My generation had to graduate in four languages, mandatory! Reason: Being from a small country, a trading country you had to be prepared to do business in several languages, so to my generation it's nothing special. I went to college to become a Social Worker and worked as such for about 15 years employed by the city of Rotterdam. I am retired now after being a civil servant for 40 years.
