MonoPix MonoPix is an international monthly magazine for photographers around the world who like to see there work being published. There are so many photographers among us who doesnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t get that chance. Well, MonoPix gives them a chance. Our publications presents the portfolios of amazing photographers. Portraits, street, scapes, or macro photography: each edition of Monopix has a general theme which can include a wide variety of photos. MonoPix is a growing series of hardcover books with the works of international photographers, releasing a new edition every month. Enjoy!

Artist’s Statement “My wife introduced me to nature photography during our early dating years. My passion for wildlife photography itself was truly born during an African safari in Botswana. Since then, I have been hungry for learning more about all aspects of photography. I have watched my work flourish into creations that take me back to those encounters in all the vividness of their emotions. Bringing that eye-to-eye and intimate interaction with the wildlife subjects is what I seek in my work. I aim to present my subjects in a non-clustered environment where the viewer can only be captivated by the animal. Demonstrating the beauty and intimacy one may have with nature will hopefully lead and encourage people to preserve and protect nature, our precious home.”

STEFANO RONCHI Italy stefanoronchi.com Born in Fara Gera d’Adda (Bergamo, Italy) in 1965, he started devoting himself in photography when he bought his first camera in the year 2007. He immediately payed attention to naturalistic world and to animals in particular. Photography represents for him a way to comunicate with the world and to express his feelings of what he could not express in words. He chose to observe animals as defenceless being’s and most of all common animals living in his land. He has always loved their innocence and he has always admired the elegance of their movements. He has tried to capture that moment in which power joins grace, strenght joins sweetness, ingenuousness joins shrewdness. Using his pictures, he would like to make people understand the beauty of animals in existence and their ability to share “feelings”.

His purpose is to rejoin animals soul with human soul through animal photography. If his pictures make human being’s closer to animals with respect and make them discover the wonder that is still hidden in animals, then His photographic enthusiasm will strongly achieve the reasons of his adventure. His art, devored by patience and co-existance with the animals, is captured at unique moments that animals are in their natural world and nothing is done to disturb them or to create situations artificially.

Photography is a hobby that allows me to discover the world, northern Portugal to the south, passing the beauty of nature and all the calm that exists in it. JEAN PAUL SOUJOL France jpsoujol.com A native-born Vauclusian, or nearly so, Jean-Paul Soujol lives above the little town of Vaison la Romaine (Provence – France). Jean-Paul Soujol, overtaken in 2009 by a passion for photography, set out to show what no one else could see. He works with his lenses, his heavy cameras and his tripod like a painter with easel, canvas and paints. Setting up in front of a subject that he has isolated, he waits for the unexpected cast of light, the quirk of cloud, the breath of wind that will make the “captured” landscape not a snapshot of reality or beauty but a creation. And like a painter accustomed to reworking and perfecting back in his studio the

sketch he took of the subject, the photographer once returned from his trek sits down at his computer and opens up the raw files that his camera spills out. Playing with contrasts, colour balance, curves, the pixel-detail of the shot, he accentuates its “pictoriality” and adds his own touch. An exclusively landscape photographer, Jean-Paul Soujol moves us toward the abstract and minimalism with the technique of long exposure. So, bounding waves, under the effect of a long exposure and lack of perspectives, it reappears metamorphosed as haze, cloud, ocean, so many more landscapes born of the one landscape.
