Through My Eyes

Introdution When you think about Brazilian men, you often end up with the stereotype image of toned guys, well tanned and with the promise of adventure in their eyes. But of course there is much more to it. Photographer Didio has given us an other image, an image that goes much further than the usual beach bomb or Capoeira dancer. When you see a Didio photograph, it is almost as if a layer has been pulled off. He grants you a look behind the mask of macho masculinity. He shows you intimacy and emotions, the deeper feelings of his models. Didio’s work is like a painting. His men are more then just men. They are pieces of art and their character and personality gets deeper with each virtual brush stroke. There is a sense of nostalgia in Didio’s portraits. He has the skill to make his men look vulnerable and erotic at the same time. He uses mostly black and white photography that certainly adds to this timeless sensation. That and the fact that his models are usually scarcely dressed give his work an atmosphere of melancholy and sensuality. The promise of adventure is still there, going hand in hand with that unmistakable tension of sexuality. Didio does more then making beautiful photographs. Didio makes dreams and it is oviosu he puts his heart and soul into it. R.Evers for BeautifulMag www.BeautifulMag.eu

Antonio Bezerra With his life-motto “This is my life; This is my passion,” photographer Antonio Bezerra gets to the point. His constant aim: to display men in the most intimate of moments, not afraid to show all feelings. Antonio Bezerra finds as much beauty in a smile across a face as he does in a tear running down a cheek. He finds inspiration with the works of Michelangelo, Bruce Webber, Herb Ritts... Bezerra was born in Rio De Janeiro, but left to live in São Paulo at 20 where he now lives in a forest cottage. He studied arts, fashion and cinema and has fotographed the famous and successful models of Latin America, amongst those: Marcelo Boldrini, Alvaro Jacomosi, Bruno Santos, Miro Moreira, Rafael Verga, Alexandre Verga.
